You are correct.

COVID-19 has thrown their release schedule all out of whack, and to compensate for revenue loss because of it - they are claiming low stock, out of print, and rushing Corman titles out the door.

Is there a specific list somewhere here of the MGM titles that SHOUT has?

MAD MAX is already Sold Out on SHOUT! I grabbed one from Amazon. (I'm a completist, so just wanted it for the new interviews.)

MANHUNTER and CARRIE had been on my list for a long time, so I grabbed them, the BILL & TED double feature and BUCKAROO BONZAI (Have never seen, believe it or not...but I hear it's worth it!)...and a couple of other arthouse titles I'd long been wanting to upgrade, PORTRAIT OF A LADY and THE BOXER.

Are the Halloween steels OOP, or just simply backordered everywhere? The third one is showing me a 1-2 month wait at Amazon Canada.

Well, they were printed in limited numbers (I think 10k copies each), so they're possibly OOS for good.

I believe I ordered the last Halloween III Steelbook they had in stock on July 23, because not long after, you just couldn't order it. And even with free shipping, I got both that and Halloween II in a matter of days.

So they 1-2 month wait may just be how long Amazon Canada has to wait for the next shipment to arrive.

But Halloween II seems close to OOP status, so if anyone hasn't bought it yet, don't sleep on it! I don't think there will be a standard edition for it.

I had it in my watch list at Amazon Canada last week, and went back the next day to order it and it was gone.

Amazon US is saying they’ll have it back in stock in a couple of weeks so I’ll just check back then and if Amazon CA is out, just pay the extra shipping to get it here, I guess.

If you also need Halloween II, you could get it price-matched to Halloween III. I may have been lucky, but I called Amazon Canada and got them to do it since the prices are more-or-less the same on Amazon US and Shout's website. No guarantees.

Edit: Never mind. I see you already have it in your collection.

Does anyone remember any other Arrow titles going OOP besides those three?

Who owns 1988's Watchers? Would love to see Scream Factory get their hands on it.

TCM2 is one of the best 3 or 4 releases Scream Factory has put out. Definitely worth the extra trouble/cost to get a copy now if able before it truly becomes outrageous on the aftermarket.

I think those wound up with Miramax, which would put them under Paramount's control. For some reason, to me, it feels like they should be under the Vestron line.

i see that paramount are already releasing a bunch of old miramax titles, like the brothers grimm and sin city. they're also releasing that catastrophe of a release by echo bridge for hellraisers 4-8...on one disc.

That release sucked, they were all crammed on the one disc and one film is missing, so I had to find it separately. I forget which one but that annoyed me.

Crap! From the wording of the announcement I figured I would at least have a few weeks or so before it would be over, so I am really surprised to see TCM2 go SO fast!

Put in an order for Child's Play and Manhunter, but TCM2 was really the one I wanted the most.

Can't believe it went OOP so fast. Hopefully some will pop up at another retailer.

At least I have the Arrow LE of it, which is basically why I postponed buying the SF release for so long. But would still love to have the SF for the better transfer.

and nearly all the new OOP titles shout announced are currently listed as their most popular according to blu-ray dot com's ranking system. "panic" announcements seem to really work!
