I got the set not extended and they came on 2 disc for each movie so I watched 1/2 at a time only $25.

I couldn’t force myself to get the extended. I’m way too cheap and the regular was plenty long.

The extended versions have lots of great stuff, especially the 3rd movie with a lot more action in the battle sequence.

yeah not the availability but the price ! everything double/triple its price when you talk about shipping it to Canada. it's ridiculous.

bought the Extended 3D version on release day as I knew these would not lower in price and the Trilogy Set would take years to release.

Each movie has 2 discs averaging 1h40 each, so it's like 6 movies, 1 each night and it's much more enjoyable this way.

I had just re-watched THE HOBBIT and LOTR Extended (and 3D). What great films, but if you haven't read the books, you need to watch the subtitles to get what's going on.

I dont think that's true at all. You just have to listen to the dialogue.

Watched BFG. Cute movie with nice 3D. Nothing better than a good fart joke. I love it when it tells me that I can’t watch its region B and with a few magic buttons I’m watching.

Watched Parasite. If you like B-Movies, a ton of fun in 3D and a great transfer.

Watched The Green Hornet the other day.

The movie was ok, but the 3D was terrible.

Watched Godzilla. The movie was pretty good and the 3D was mostly depth, but good. The bass was awesome, the clear winner.

Watched Trolls World Tour. Definitely not essential, but it's a good sequel and the 3D is decent.

I thought the 3D was good. Everybody's eyes and equipment are different.

Started watching The Box Trolls last night. Will finish it tonight. Fun, so far, and decent 3D.

Rewatch Valerian. Liked it even better the second time and the 3D was still great. For the few who haven’t seen it a must watch.

What's LOTR? "Land of the Rotarians"?
