For those wondering about the extended lengths of time packages are spending in "label created" mode - Shout replied to an inquiry I sent concerning my order of Tales From the Darkside with "Your package is at the Post Office waiting to be entered into the System". All this time I've always assumed packages at 'Label Created' were sitting around a warehouse waiting for the USPS to pick it up. I feel a little better knowing it's actually at a Post Office. Still, next time I'll order from Bullmoose, Diabolik or even Amazon. Shout takes too long.

On the 17th, I ordered 2 Corman titles that don't show as Out of Stock. My order is still listed as "Order Taken". Bullmoose or Ronin, I would have had it a week ago. Unfortunately, one of those titles was the 2 disc Women in Cages that is sold out everywhere. Grindhouse Video had some I was going to order, but I think some idiot scalper from Canada grabbed them all up, because there were none on Ebay, Grindhouse sold out and miraculously, around a dozen copies showed up on Ebay being sold from Canada for nearly $80.

That's right. A nearly $50 profit each. Scumbags!

For the "Label Created" issue it can be one of a couple situations I've encountered.

Sometimes it does seem like it's sitting SOMEWHERE (either their warehouse, or Post Office intake container). And then eventually it starts moving and the tracking reflects each step along the way.

Other times, I've had it sit in that status for a week or more, and then suddenly the day of delivery the status changes to "Out for Delivery", and all of the other stops previously are suddenly populated.

It's only $50 in profit if people buy it at that price. Hopefully they don't.

Trying to do a scream order but impossible to pay with paypal at checkout, is it normal ?

The problem is with "Choose A Way To Pay" keeps telling me to pay again and again without taking the order!

After you choose PayPal as your payment option, you then have to click on the PayPal icon that then appears in the Payment column. It's a little confusing...had the same problem.

I've only used Paypal at their shop and never had an issue. There might be something you're missing but I wouldn't be able to tell you without seeing the actual page again. I know it isn't very intuitive.

Anyone care to take a stab in the dark as to what we may see announced for December? Announcements I would suspect should come at the end of next week or certainly the following Tuesday if not next week. Is there anything we know or think we know is coming at this point?

Man. Trying to think of what Christmas related/themed movies would be in their usual "wheelhouse".

I'd say maybe a 3 movie collection of the remaining SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT flics...but if that ever happens, I feel it would be more a VS set, like the later AMITYVILLE movie set.
Maybe BLACK XMAS (06)? They have done TRICK R TREAT...possibly a collector's edition of KRAMPUS (fairly recent, but so was GREEN INFERNO at the time they released it). Not saying they should...just that I could see it happening (and I would buy...)

Ummmm... Trying to think of non-holiday but still wintery themed flics they could do....

Considering they moved Event Horizon to January and have expressed difficulty assembling extras due to COVID-19, I'm not expecting anything too major.

Both Black Christmas 06 and Krampus seem like good guesses and fit well with the line. I fully expect to see more Corman titles announced but beyond that I really don't know. I still feel like a Box set of the Ring Films seems inevitable. The main draw would be The Ring 2 on Blu Ray in the states and then a re-pressed edition of the original film instead of the current BD-R release but whether something like that would make it for a December release is questionable. I'm sure there are still plenty of 50's horror they could find and release if they wanted something available for folks to purchase that wouldn't require a ton of special features (though I continue to question how well those sell.)

Personally hoping for more Sony catalog stuff. “I Know What You Did Last Summer” would be a great, maybe “Anaconda” or “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein”.

Edit: My dream scenario would be a steelbook re-release of Dog Soldiers using that 4K scan that exists in Europe.

It's more recent than those, but if we're going Sony...I'd LOVE a collector's edition of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT someday. Granted...not sure if they'd be able to pull off the special features for a CE by December (unless it was one already well under way for a Winter release).

Wondering if we might actually get a December without any CEs this year.

Sony is probably the absolute best, but I’d put Warner at second place. Their catalog work is consistently good (though Goodfellas received a mixed response).

What do we think about Scream's chances of landing this, and is anybody willing to defend the current WB disc? Nice enough to just grab, or at this stage of the game is it worth continuing to wait?
I knew Tobe and worked with him. I never asked him about Poltergeist, but all the Spielbergian moments people seem to think Tobe couldn't have come up with are in the script. I have a copy of an earlier script which would have likely recieved an R rating and all that stuff is in the script. Tobe was hired to shoot an existing script. Should he have scrapped that stuff so people wouldn't think Spielberg directed it or some of it?
