I really don't know what to think about this Mill Creek box set. Mill Creek is a budget label, so usually little or no extras and, most importantly, the PQ is a crap-shoot. They use what ever master is handed them, never doing any new scans of restorations on their own. They skimp on everything. So their discs sell for cheap prices--you get what you pay for.
It is surprising to me that Mill Creek has a deal with a major studio, Sony. What's even more surprising is that MC either declined to use of was perhaps denied use of Sony's 4K restoration of The Revenge of Frankenstein. This remains a mystery to me. Perhaps Sony only licensed the restoration to Indicator and not MC? Or maybe MC didn't want to wait for the restoration? Perhaps it might have costed more than what they were willing to pay? Either way, I don't think we'll see that new restoration in this set. I hope I'm wrong, though. As for the other nineteen films, well once again, you get what you pay for. Although, currently at $109, that's too high for ten Mill Creek discs in a box set, most of which they've already released as single double-feature blu-rays. I do like the box cover art though.
