United Kingdom Match of the Day, The Women's Football Show and The NFL Show

Noticed on the BBC's red button service earlier this week that the Women's Super League kicks off it's new season a week on Sunday (6th September). Usually, The Women's Football Show (which covers the Women's Super League) airs on BBC Four on early Sunday evenings, with a BBC One or BBC Two repeat on late Sunday nights.

Following on from the starter post late last week, have checked the listings for next weekend, and The Women's Football Show starts next Sunday night on BBC One, followed by new series Squad Goals.

Secondly, this year's Soccer Aid charity game is on next Sunday (on ITV as usual).

Haven't watched Match of the Day (or the Sunday night spin-off either) in years. Much prefer watching the womens' game (although I do still check the BBC's red button service to see how some of the men's teams are doing). Think last season the title was given to the Manchester City ladies team (the year before, Arsenal's ladies team won the title).

I still prefer the men’s football like to be honest. Will you be watching with West Brom back in the top flight?

To be honest I'm not sure. I may watch the odd live game, and the highlights (with the highlights it would be the spin-off series as I can't stand the main presenter on Match of the Day), as well as reading the updates in the newspapers.

We had a strong season, despite scraping through to get the second automatic place in the Championship. I'm glad Aston Villa survived in the Premier League, as we'll be able to have two derbies with them.

Correction to the above quoted post. I thought Manchester City's ladies team won the previous season (which finished short because of you-know-what). However, during last night's Women's Football Show it was mentioned that Chelsea's ladies team won the title (Arsenal's ladies team won the previous Women's Super League title).

Secondly, Match of the Day and it's spin-off both start on BBC One this coming weekend.

tob, you must be on a buzz after this past weekend's football matches (the men's team won I think 3-0, and the ladies team beat West Ham 9-1). We didn't get off to a good start against Leicester, losing 3-0 at home.

The Women's Super League is taking an international break, and in addition to that, last season's FA Cup resumes. The Women's Football Show will be back in October sometime.

Did The NFL Show start a new series this past Saturday night? I know from a friend that the NFL season started recently.
