I wonder how much damage is considered "damaged". Wish he would have shown a picture as an example.

I ordered mine a few weeks ago from Grindhouse Video and when it arrived I noticed the front of my box was pressed in slightly. Everything else was fine. I read that the shipment he received wasn’t perfect which was fine with me. I mostly just wanted to own a copy before they sold out forever.

does anyone think there's more of these in a warehouse that possibly just haven't been sold yet?

Arrow dropped the ball so hard here. You'd think they'd just make more of the LE. Call it a 2nd edition, or whatever, but clearly demand was far greater than supply, and this should have been obvious very early on.

They can’t make more, the rights holders will not let them.

Seriously? But they can re-release the discs? Is it because of the comics?

That could anger collectors for future titles of limited editions. People buy them thinking they are really limited and then more copies of the exact same set get put out will cause mistrust of your brand. Twilight Time Encore editions come to mind.

All it said was that they plan a standard set down the line that won't include the books, which is pretty much par for the course with just about every transition from Limited edition to Standard for Arrow.

Can't believe I was able to get an order in on this earlier today. Had it submitted within maybe 2 minutes of the text notification. Never thought I'd be happy to receive a "damaged" item. Crossing fingers on a not-so-bad pick of the litter.

The number of happy customers would far outweigh the complainers. A lot of them are scalpers anyway, and Arrow doesn't get a cut when they sell something for an inflated price after it goes OOP. As for the rest, f**k 'em. I'm a collector of various things, I have a good number of rare / limited items, but I don't begrudge anyone else having the same. I'm happy when people who are fans of things, actually get those things. 'Cuz I'm not a d!ck like that.

Totally, my sentiments exactly. I just didn't want the thing to be ripped in half or completely crushed for $150. Doesn't have to be perfect. Also, love the avatar.

I asked Arrow and was told a standard version should follow early next year . Fingers crossed on that

What does UCLA do with this stuff they collect , Will we ever get a chance to see it ?

I mean, Grindhouse Video has been open about the fact that most of the releases will have blemishes and imperfections (as appears to be the case of frankly most of the shipped copies) but these last few copies have been instances where they outright use the word "damaged" in the descriptions so I assume it's bit more significant than "the front cover is pushed back a bit" but it is still generally usable enough. You may be able to contact them asking for a bit more description of the state of the damaged copies.
