I noticed the other day at Bay Street Video that their copy of Pretty in Pink was in the standard blue case. Are the Paramount Pictures Presents titles now being issued as regular editions? Or is this specific to Canada?

From what I’ve seen, looks like they’re in regular cases, although clear ones plus a slipsleeve with a flap at the front, revealing the original poster art.

Something is going on with Amazon's logistics.
I went to 7 Walmarts last week looking for that $15 Twilight Zone deal before I found a copy, but almost every one of those stores had at least one copy of each of Goonies & Beetlejuice 4k - usually placed at the bottom of their new release display. Walmart was able to get copies sent out to every store, & amazon can't fulfill pre-orders? And has stopped taking pre-orders on a large number of items - all future Kino titles non-existent, including this week's new releases like Grey Fox & Dr Who films, & last week's Agatha Christie films. |

The Grey Fox being a Canadian film, Kino may not have the rights to release it themselves directly in Canada. Canadian films with releases from U.S. boutique labels can be weird that way. None of that explains the other recent issues with Amazon.ca, however.

What are the 3 Agatha Christie films? I'll look them up. Thanks.

KINO is distributed by UV. None of the Arrow preorder stuff is on Amazon either (Last starfighter, silent running etc). Buck Rogers isn’t on Amazon. UV distributed titles are lagging on Amazon for some reason. I’m guessing UV is just slow.

Yes but UV can only releases Kinos that Kino have the rights to in Canada. And more often than not, Canadian movies have a specific Canadian distributor (e.g. eOne). So Grey Fox not being available has nothing to do with UV's difficulties. Another example (though not a Canadian film, just a different rights holder situation) is the Criterion release of Wildlife. Not on UV's site, not on Amazon.ca. If it ever ends up on Amazon.ca, it will be through third party sellers.
