For example, the diving Y-wing in ANH that suddenly disappears from the frame. It was fixed on the 2004 releases, and not that they went back to the 1997 version, they forgot to add it back. Nothing too noticeable, but it's there (or in this case, not there).

EDIT: Geoff beat me to it.

Cool

Finally had a reply from Zoom, saying that they can’t send me out the slipcovers but if I return the copies I have then they’ll send out replacements. I’m not going to bother, they should have just sent me the ones I ordered in the first place

I'm thinking on getting some of the Star Wars 4K's from Zoom, probably the OT and prequels, are they still coming with slipcovers?

have ordered from Zavvi and Zoom and all came with slipcovers. The out of stock titles I managed to get from my local HMV store and they had slips as well.

UK buyers should support HMV at every opportunity.

If they allowed shipping outside of the UK they wouldn't be so desperate.

My final four Marvel Blu-rays arrived from Zoom today... two without slipcovers.

Been waiting and looking in HMV and Fopp for both Rogue One and Rise of Skywalker, with no sign of them anywhere.

Looking on Zoom, it looks like nearly all of the packaging shots are for versions without slips - is that confirmation that their stock no longer has slip covers?

The 4k versions seem to have been almost impossible to find - annoyingly I had Rogue One in my hand in my local HMV, but put it back because they didn't have Rise of Skywalker to pair it to...

Amazon have them all in stock currently. HMV have most of them and claim the remainder are due back in this week.

I cannot see "Rise of Skywalker" with the new slip at Amazon, have you got a link?

HMV shows "Rise" with the slip, but their shot of "Rogue One" doesn't have the slip.

Pretty sure it was only ever Solo and Rise of Skywalker that had pics that looked like a slip, the rest have always been just the case but most people have received them with slips including the four films I received last week (Episodes 5, 6, 7 and R1)

To make sure I got TROS with the new slip I went to my local HMV at Cribbs and they had two copies, the day before I had tried HMV in Bath and they only had a single copy of TROS and it was the April release, neither brand had any copies of Rogue One so that seems to be very popular.

HMV Rogue One came with a slip when I got it a couple of weeks ago. Amazon don't always post new listings for new cover designs.

Rise also from HMV came with a slip too, but as has been mentioned elsewhere, the old design on the amaray - there doesn't seem to be any new amaray art yet.

My local HMV doesn't seem to have ever gotten a new TROS, just 2 copies of the April release. Looks like they just got one copy of Rogue One.

Have placed an order with HMV, let's see what happens...

Thanks, understood about the amaray, just want the slips to match.

Picked up 4-7 on day of release, shouldn't have wavered on Rogue One.

Less fussed about Solo as I think the original slipcover is better, and in two minds about buying TLJ again, although at least it now has the Score on the blu-ray so I wouldn't be double dipping just for the slip.

Glad I'm not this fussed about the Marvel films...

I kind of wanted the slips, but my HMV was so bare, only odd titles here and there. Clones, Solo, Rise, Empire. I'm going to frame my Zavvi New Hope steelbook, then order Empire and Jedi, f*** the slipcovers, and throw all three 4K discs into my blu-ray trilogy steelbook

Seeing caps from different sources as well as being highlighted by the person who reviewed the sets on this website so I doubt the caps are wrong in this case.

I know the settings to some extent play a part in how it's displayed as well. Even if it's more true to Star Wars to have the desaturated colours it's not for me and I can't understand why Lucas would originally go to the trouble of creating that universe if he wanted everything to look like Saving Private Ryan.

Thanks. Yeah this isn't persuading me to say the Disney ones are better.

It is weird you say that as reviewers have pointed to the fact there's frozen grain in 4K versions of ESB and ROTJ. Not sure how bad but surprised you said that as I wouldn't have expected that from a cleaned up and recomposited scan.

Unfortunately, they went too far with the DNR. Even though the underlying restorations and grading looks good (though I’d say they need a bit more colour, particularly ROTJ), they DNR’d the hell out of the grain in them. Star Wars looks the best overall, Empire is the worst, and Jedi is kind of in between.

It's sad that fans with a 35mm print and a couple of thousand $$$ can do a better job than the people who have access to the ON and the combined wealth of Disney and Lucasfilm.
