I won't say it didn't have an impact. I can't make that call. But this is a title they already had in the collection. It's a Blu-ray upgrade. Unless it sped up the process, it seems unlikely.

I knew it was already in the collection, but I do suspect that the attention that article got did speed up the process of getting it upgraded to Blu-Ray.

Nonetheless, I do look forward to seeing it in HD.

If it is, it's a piss poor way of addressing the article, since the article was about NEW black directors. But that's not what we should be focusing on.

I'm very happy to see this film get a Blu-ray upgrade. It sounds very interesting and right up my alley.

I agree, it SHOULDN'T be what I'm focusing on, I just can't help but think of it due to the general timing.

The important thing is that these films are getting an HD upgrade.
