Another one for 71-80 is Wes Craven’s Summer of Fear. Just watched it last night.

Great idea for a thread, Richard.

Here's one that's not been listed yet. This great TV movie from 1971 was so critically acclaimed, highly rated and popular that it was released theatrically only about a month after it aired on TV.

And unfortunately, current with the passing this week of Gale Sayers. RIP.

I thought about it and decided not to. I'm including two-parters like Salem's Lot which
generally add up to a 3-hour or 4-hour epic film. But a mini-series that takes several
episodes or more is structured differently, more like a regular program. I had Roots and
Shogun in for a few minutes and took them out. A mini-series belongs in a thread of TV
Programs on blu-ray. On the other hand I might change my mind.

I want to do a TV Movies on DVD thread which would have a lot more entries than this
one.

Some other i've just thought of:

The UK Indicator release of Scum also includes the original TV movie.

Not sure if you would include Day Of The Triffids but if Quatermass is included, then i think this should be...World On A Wire was a 2 part miniseries though on german tv.

Sorry my bad...i could of sworn the tv film was on it.

Richard--W sorry my mistake Scum doesn't have the tv movie on it. It's in the Alan Clarke Dissent & Disruption boxset which i see you have already added to the list.

I have thought of another one though which often gets forgotten about...the rather great Robert Rodriguez 1994 tv movie Roadracers.
