Figures, mine came with some damages. There are a few small chips on the front revealing brown where it should be black, etc. That is not the end of the world but in addition there is a big gash in the back. The box is in perfect condition so it seems like it was lazily placed in the box like this. So I call Deep Discount and have to leave a message. Terrible service. So far big thumbs down for me. This is exactly why I do not like ordering off no name websites from no name companies.

Sorry to hear, Statik. It's a chance we all take ordering online, especially from, like you said, no name brands. Today I feared mine had died on me, and in my head I said, 'Figures'. But turns out that I had disconnected its subwoofer cable last night when I was tweaking with my Dynamo without realizing it. Remember you didn't pay too much. If you bought it off eBay, you should be able to have some leverage - hence why I got it off eBay instead of DeepDiscount's website itself.
And sadly, the grille is supposed to stay in place. Send us some pictures of this. |

Unfortunately, this sometimes happens. Several of our members have had problems with the speakers and other equipment from name brand manufacturers such as Polk. The funniest thing was that one of the Polk speakers sent to one of the members had its driver installed upside down. I believe it belonged to CrazyBlue. Another member received speakers from another company with all the drivers loose. I believe another member had major problems with his ED sub. Eventually ED sent him another driver. In the age of mass production, I suppose we should expect this. Fortunately, the majority of people haven't had any problems with their shipment from Deep Discount. Yes, well hopefully DD gets back to me so we can resolve the issue. It still is a great looking subwoofer. The main damage is in the back. Some of the corners are a little ruff. What color is yours? If it makes you feel any better, I accidentally scratched the beatiful cherry side of my subwoofer. My wife doesn't know or she will kill me. As long as the subwoofer plays well, I am not in a habbit of going to the corner and looking at the scratch. As long as WAF is happy, I am happy. ![]() |

Interesting.. I looked at the grill under the light and all 4 pins appear to be broken. The pins are the round plastic things that stick out into the point on the inside of the grill right? One is entirely cracked in half .. and the others the pin/points of them are all jagged like the ends snapped off. However if I put a little pressure on the plastic pins they seem to be glued to the wood. How would one replace just the pins and not just the whole grill? Thanks! |
