I am on the verge of being done as well . Not many that interest me and not to thrilled about the current prices . I still do not understand how they can sell out of many newer titles but the much older ones are just sitting around & around .

To be clear I understand why . However it just goes to show though some titles might be good movies the interest just isn't there in those . It's kind of annoying just seeing 2013-2014 titles still available when there were just 3,000 copies at most each . Even at $4.99 each they still do not sell out !

Anyways I am looking to see if they have an end of the year sale or not . If they do not I think I will just move on . I am not interested in paying the current rates on anything available .



Born Free is almost sold out & looks like C. Land , A.Focus , V.Papers & M.Shop all will most likely be the next ones to sell out .

I also think soon after that B. The Devil , B.Strangler , F.Cookie & Two For The Road will all follow

For those interested, I see there's a copy of "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" up for sale on eBay with an opening bid of just $20. This title is turning out to be one of the more expensive TT discs to find on the secondary market, so depending on how bidding goes, someone may find themselves a real bargain. (Ha, you can tell I already have my own copy, or I probably wouldn't be so willing to share the news of a promising auction!)

Whoa. That's terrible. Have mods been alerted to this? If this is true, he should be permanently banned, because his actions constitute mail fraud. On a sale that large, you can actually be prosecuted (which I know won't happen). If he's not banned, this should be brought up every single time he posts from now on.

I’m one of the few who appreciated the low quantity updates, but this is by far the lamest thing I’ve ever read on this board, and that’s saying a lot. I agree, good riddance.

I never got the guy's MO. It's like he exclusively posted here, so you'd THINK he was a TT fan, but every "update" (and I use quotes because for every concrete number he'd provide he'd follow with redundant speculation) was accompanied by the same trollish pontificating about their pricing strategies.

I hope this ban is permanent and not temporary.

I really feel for you though man, I hope there is a way you can get your money or your stuff back. Like others on here, I think you should pursue it through legal channels. If that occurred here in Canada it would be considered Theft Under $5000 which is a criminal offense and I would absolutely be reporting it.

There likely isn't much in the way of legal remedy (what's on the books versus practical application), but maybe the local police can add it to their database so next time someone gets ripped off locally it's not dismissed as a "first offense."

If something this egregious doesn't merit a permanent ban, nothing will.

Like most everyone else here, I always thought he was a clown show, but I did not have him pegged as an 'out-and-out lying, thieving scumbag'.

This should be a reminder for people to be careful dealing with internet sales. I've been burned myself (although not for that much money). The scammers know how to work the system. Don't assume that PayPal or eBay or anyone else will have your back. Be careful out there.

As for the cheater in question, I always thought he was a hustler (for instance, I figured he had "speculated" on TT titles and was posting incessant LQAs to pump up sales). I guess he got bored with that and graduated to thief.

Speaking of which, there are 29 copies of Born Free left at SAE.

I personally love this film, which holds up beautifully after multiple viewings. It's the story of a real-life couple, George and Joy Adamson, who raise an orphaned lion cub named Elsa, and then release her back into the wild. The Adamsons are played by a pair of actors who were married in real life, Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna; both of them give sterling performances in the film. McKenna received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress - Drama; composer John Barry won two Oscars, one for Best Score and the other for the title song, which became a huge hit; and the film itself was named one of the Top Ten of the Year by the National Board of Review.

Twilight Time's presentation of this classic film is exemplary in terms of audio and video quality. The extras are rather paltry (an isolated score track, an interesting commentary, a trailer and a teaser), but why quibble? At $8.95, Born Free is a real steal.
