Two things. One, Costco has a bunch of the Paramount two packs for $22.99. I.e., that Jack Ryan collection. Two. Stas, best Avatar ever.

Hmm, Event Horizon for $17 + the minus $10 redemption is very tempting. Wouldn't mind upgrading.

Have any Canadians received their $10 cheques from Paramount? I sent 2 seperate ones in mid-January and have heard nothing back yet!!

i'm mad at my walmart and will no longer buy blu-rays from there...

they had "Next" for 16.83...since futureshop is around the corner and i was going anyways i went there. For the 2nd time in the last month they told the futureshop employee when trying to do a price match that they had none in stock. i went back to walmart and took a picture of the blu-rays and went straight to futureshop and got it for 15.53 or so. from now on i'm goign to walmart, taking a picture and then going to futureshop...in some cases i'll save an extra 10%. one of these days i'll make a complaint to walmart...they do this not to lose business but they piss me off as a customer and are doing the exact opposite of what they are looking to do

bunch of titles 2 for 30 i think in packs...
event horizon
sum of all fears
love guru
red october
mission impossible 1
mission impossible 2
Heartbreak Kid
Sahara
Next
Top Gun
and a few others in the packs.

btw.. heres a question i have for those policy savy shoppers... i've herd of the scanning code of practice all the time here... so i went to check out these titles and didnt find anything, but found v for vendetta 2/20 so picked it up and went to the counter.. girl scanned it and it came up at 14.83, so she said 16.97 is ur total... i was like no, its 10 bucks (for those of you who've ever bought from walmart, even if it says 2 for 10, its still 10 bucks a title). so after some debating she said fine and gave it to me for 10 bucks. i told her i'd herd according to the 'scanning code of practice' i'm suppose to receive 10 bucks off due to their error. she said no, that only applies for groceries and stuff, then i went back to the electronic section and saw a few other v for vendettas were all stickerd for 14.83. so i didnt wanna argue and just took it for 10 bucks cuz i was fine paying that in the first place. but just wondering if i was done right by or not?

any comments......

she is wrong...its anything. most of them don't know jack about these things...even some managers. best thing to do is keep a printout in your wallet. they do this because as a consumer if you buy things you might not notice mistakes and they could over charge you. i've known someone who has worked in groceries and you wouldnt believe how much scanned at the wrong price...ripping off customers in the process

Here in the province of Quebec, you are kind of right (it is a provincial law). The law applies to everything. If an item has several prices (sticker on the counter, sticker on the box, price at cash register....) the cheapest one is right. If they over charge you at the cash (and they need to over charge you, and then you complain) if the lowest price is above 10$ then you should get the cheapest price minus 10$, if the cheapest is 10$ or less then it is free.

Now in this particular case if it said 2 for 20, I don't think it would apply.

That's way it works here in Ontario as well. I picked up Wall-E for 14.99 at Best Buy yesterday because of the policy.

Here's a link to a very good explanation of the policy.

thanks alot for the explanation guys.. i had a feeling i was right, but seeing as how it said 2 for 20 and no specific price and all the other items were stickered correctly i figured it wouldnt be worth my while trying to fight for the extra 10 bucks. i mean i dont wanna rip them off, just wanted what was fair. i'll go back in tomorrow and ask a manager what they think about it, not to complain or anything, but just so i understand what their policy is for next time.

its a common policy...they have stickers by their cash register because they are registered as being part of the code scan of conduct or whatever its called...

i got one of the third rock from the sun box sets for my girlfriend once for 5.00 (she was about to pay the 15.00 as the person at the cash register was going to charge the sticker price then i brought up the code of conduct and she ended up getting it for 5.00)...regular price was 30 bucks...not bad
