Default 2021 Ram 1500 TRX

FCA finally announced the long rumoured TRX.
702 Horsepower and a challenger to the Raptor.

I think it's beautiful and although doesn't suit my driving style, I want one, hahaha!

I still like the look of the Raptor more but yeah who can argue about a hellcat motor. Though Ford has intentionally held off on the newer Raptor to see what FCA did and yeah if Ford is smart they drop the weed wacker motor and opt for the V-8 coyote with a supercharger on it. I can only chuckle anytime i hear a newer Raptor pass me, that eco boost just does not belong in that model imo!

Meanwhile at GM a company run by a passionless hack is boasting about tailgates nobody cares about! Gm has all the tools to compete with the 6.2 v-8 but chooses to hang in the back behind with the 15 year old tundra and the Titan.

If Ford were to do to the F150 what Shelby has done, they'd be on the right track.

I like the Raptor a lot, it's a beauty truck. But Ram has clearly thrown down the gauntlet.

I'm not an off-road Dude, but if I hadn't just traded to a 2020 Ram a few months ago, I may've considered this TRX. That kinda power...man.
I don't know the pricing, but I'm sure it'll be six figures here in Canada.

The SRT Team at FCA and also Ford Racing are building some serious machines. I wonder why GM isn't? The Camaro's 650 hp is destroyed by the HellCat Redeye's 797 hp and also Ford Mustang's 770 hp.
Sure, GM has the Corvette but their Muscle Car is losing badly. Hopefully they get the Camaro a nice boost. It's a nice looking car and is deserving of more!

I agree a shelby based performance package or maybe even roush would be ideal for the newer Raptor.

But like i said GM is run by a passionless hack who rather make ev vehicles that no one wants or asked for and pretend to be something they will never be "Tesla".

Ford and FCA on the other hand actually hire car people who have a passion for producing a product their customer base wants. While Mrs. Mary rather take the stance of well we won't sell that many of them so why bother! She doesn't get that Ford and FCA will use these two unicorns to draw people in who might then buy something else they make.

Another case in point is the Chevy Blazer "over priced pile of poop that essentially takes a large dump on any remaining Blazer fans" vs the Bronco which Ford will literally need to bolt down to their lots to keep them on it. GM can not give away the blazer and needs to put 10k on the hoods to even make people think of buying them.

I have been saying it for years now but Mary needs to go and a actual car enthusiast needs to take over the rains at GM. The only line they have not allowed upper management to muck up is the vette, that is the result of making board members like Mary stay away! Gm has all the parts on their shelves to without a doubt compete but chooses to remain complacent unfortunately!

Dodge sold it's entire production run of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX in 4 hours.

Not surprising, over 700 trucks at over 90k a pop gone in 4 hours time. Hats off to FCA for what they have done with Ram brand.
