Can’t they release something new instead of upgrades? I was pleased with their barebones releases of obscure and even unrestored titles.

They must still have the licenses to films they haven’t yet released.

Totally agree. I am perfectly comfortable with the Olive release that I have had for a few years now.

I don't understand... what's the deal with Olive?

They release like 1 film every 6 months now... and it's something they've already released... for most part.

Any New details on this yet ? The Existing Bluray is very good. I upgraded ...High Noon, The Quiet Man, Johnny Guitar & Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Maybe this one. Will wait for Reviews. No Rush.

It would be nice if we could get a 4K release and not an updated 2K scan...

Personally, as someone who held off on the barebones original in hopes of a better edition I find this to be most welcome news. Olive signatures are on par or better than your average Criterion releases. They're clearly a labor of love and I've enjoyed collecting most of them as they've been issued. Definitely picking this up and I hope they continue for years to come.

Will never take for granted films of this vintage getting a deluxe release.

It's John Ford, John Wayne, and one of the three cavalry trilogy movies.
I can't resist another dip.

Although the prior Olive original poster cover is so superior to this one.
This one's OK, but the other one is that 1940's saturated color poster look! FANTASTIC

Agree. You could just swap the inserts.

I’ll be waiting for reviews before upgrading.

Video-wise this one is just a digitally cleaned up version of the existing product. I have several Sig Editions but only upgrade what I have if the original video is poor, or like High Noon and Johnny Guitar, they are new 4K scans.

The Olive Signature is most likely going to use the 4K remaster that Eureka used this past April for their release.
