Damn. So if I picked up the steels of 1-6 and decided to just stick with the reg U.S. discs of 7-9, I am still good in regards to 24bit audio as the Disney ones all have it?

Just hoping this investment wasn't in vain!
I have the blu ray European box set of season 1-5. I was looking to sell it in my local CEX shop. They offer €35

But doing research I notice the Clone wars box sets are going for a lot higher. Why are they in such demand?

Yes, the book and titles on each page are in German, as are the titles on the discs. The discs start with a menu choice and then the menus and crawls are in the language you choose. Bonus discs have English menu titles too so other than the written titles in the book and the box being Die Skywalker Saga there is little difference. The Mark Hamill letter is in English.

I really really hate the scene at the end of TROS with all the blasted starships.

It really is a stupid thing to put in Star Wars. I have seen that in one of the Star Trek tv shows I think but to do it in Star Wars is dumb.

They have literally been fighting the Empire for almost a generation if you think of the age of Luke and right at the end the rest of galaxy goes ok we'll help now.

Where the F**K were you lot for the past 70 years, I just find it frigging annoying.

The only thing that could have made it worse was if Ja Ja was in the first ship and say's "Me'sa back!" when they all turn up.

Good grief end with ROTJ or make 10, 11 and 12 quick and use some time travel rubbish or multiverse thing to undo these Sequel trilogy nonsense.

Here's my mini review of the audio and video quality of The Star Wars Skywalker Saga 4k Box Set :
- The Phantom Menace : An upscale 4K image. The film on the new 4K HDR Transfer is not the best lots of DNR added but compared to the DVD and Blu-Ray Disc releases it's better than it's look on home video. Audio mix in Dolby Atmos is great the film has always been a great sonic experience.
- Attack of The Clones : A better transfer than TPM but with it being shot in 1080p and it being a 4K upscale it does not do it any favors. The image is soft and again some DNR added to the image. Audio wise like TPM Dolby Atmos is great the film has always been a great sonic experience.
- Revenge of The Sith : The best 4K transfer of The Prequel Trilogy. An upscale 4K image but compared to ATOTC it is a lot better and the cameras are a lot better. Dolby Atmos is great not the best audio mix of The Prequel Trilogy but it is still really good.
- Star Wars aka A New Hope : The best 4K Transfer of The Original Trilogy. It's the best the film has ever looked on home video. Sure some DNR was added to the transfer but that's not a big issue for me. Audio Mix in Dolby Atmos is great. Can be a bit tiny at times but this was a film that came out in the late 70s so keep that in mind.
- The Empire Strikes Back - While not the best 4K Transfer it's the best the film has ever looked on home video. Some DNR was added to the transfer but that's not a big issue for me. Audio Mix in Dolby Atmos is great and compared to A New Hope this is a more louder mix and it sound more natural.
- Return of The Jedi : Like the other 2 Original Trilogy films it's the best the film has ever looked on home video. A lot of DNR was added to the transfer but that's not a big issue for me. Audio Mix in Dolby Atmos is great and compared to A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back this is a more louder mix and it sound more natural.
- The Force Awakens : Like the Blu-Ray Disc that came before The 4K Transfer is amazing plus the Dolby Atmos Audio mix sound amazing. Not to much to fault with the transfer because it was already great.
- The Last Jedi : A re authored 4K Transfer looks good though do miss it not having Dolby Vision on the disc. The Dolby Atmos Audio mix sound good but for me not the best sound mix from the Sequel Trilogy
- The Rise of Skywalker : Much like The Force Awakens the 4K Transfer is amazing plus the Dolby Atmos Audio mix sound amazing. Not to much to fault with the transfer.

I know for years on here and on Original Trilogy Dot Com I said their was nothing wrong with the 2004 and 2011 Star Wars Blu-Ray Disc transfers of Episodes 4-6 the classic trilogy but I will admit I was wrong 100 % percent and am so sorry plus it's good to see these new 4K Restorations got to colors to somewhat match what to OT SE's looked like in 1997. It's nice to have all the Star Wars films in one big box set but also hopefully someday the original cuts of Episodes 4-6 from 1977-1983 will be released someday officially.
Great review! This is like GeoffD cliffs notes!

*groan* I am really looking forward to the day when hating the sequels stops being “the thing to do” (like how everyone hated the prequels and now all of a sudden they’re good).

We're in the Age Of Rage.

Funny how selective people's memories are. Those that praise the prequels seem to forget how hated they were. Lucas basically sold the franchise because of the hatred. (and no, I'm not going to post the links for the 10th time)

Why would those who praise the prequels forget that there were people who hated them? And Lucas didn't sell the franchise because of anyone's hate. He sold it for many other reasons.

Prequels arrive and fans don't like them. They are too far from the Star Wars they know and love.

The Force Awakens arrives and fans don't like it. It is too close to the Star Wars they know and love.

The Last Jedi arrives and fans don't like it. It is too far from the Star Wars they know and love.

What a joyous fanbase.

The sequels are what happens when you don't plan out a trilogy and botch the execution.

The prequels are what happens when you kind of but don't really plan out a trilogy and botch the execution.

The original trilogy is what happens when you kind of but don't really plan out a trilogy and nail the execution.
