But I may very well upgrade to an eventual Slim model this gen for the first time because of the giant footprint and power draw once they are able to get things more efficient and shrink the components down and probably double the internal SSD in 2-3 years.

In my books , I’d consider that a “Pro” model. Ya only need extra SSD space.
