I did mean lossy, that was a typo, sorry...

I think choosing to use DTS-HD is just not a very smart move by Fox to be honest...

In their latest press release, Fox said that they wanted to show people why Bluray is clearly the best choice for next generation HD media. If that were really the case, then in my opinion, they should have given us a stellar PCM track and a True DolbyHD track.

That way, everyone with the capability could enjoy the PCM track or the True DolbyHD track, and those still just using Blurays to enjoy the upgrade in picture only could now enjoy also the DD core track.

There are only a few players and only a few recievers that can properly decode DTS-HD, and even then, its not even that great of a next generation audio codec....

DTS:MA, which people seem to get confused with DTS-HD, is an entire whole nother animal in and of itself, and is not what Fox seems to be getting ready to use for these upcoming releases...


Lie to me and yourself, and tell me you wouldn't want PCM on the Die Hard movies...go ahead, try it.
