Allegedly it's supposed to be a better Pokémon, which I know isn't a huge endorsement. Pokémon games of late are apparently not pushing the envelope forward, yunno?

Pokemon games have been lazy of late. I enjoyed SWSH a lot. Just have to take a look at my latest post in that thread to see how may hours I've sunk in to it lol.

There's just so much that the current team just doesn't seem to know how to do, they seem like a team that are stuck 10-20 years in the past game design wise.

Now that could be down to the time constraints they are on, SwSh for example seems to have had just 12-18 months of development based on the massive data leaks that came out recently. It was pretty much built on the SunMoon engine, they really need to get to grips with real console AAA games design. But I really won't hold my breath on that one.
