For now it's just a rumor without any proof to back it up. But Sony obviously does not have much faith in their own format when it comes to TV shows, so...

This is ridiculous. I own Season 1 and 3 and also even emailed Fox about a year ago about Season 2 with no reply. I was expecting a season 2 release to coincide with the season 4 release but thats what i get for hoping huh?

Just found my post. 7 YEARS AGO and they finally got released in the USA. Never thought it would actually happen.

BTW the whole series outside the final break for $60 seperately is a steal imo.

Thanks. That show is way too good for DVD.

What other TV shows does Sony distribute?

Its not that the studios do not have faith in the format. That is the biggest load of crap I have heard in a while on this site. If thats the case, studios would not be making such a large push to get movies out the door and on to shelves.

The fact of the matter is it takes a lot of resources and time to put together seasons on bluray and guess what, its not cheap yet. That is why prices for seasons are still high. At the end of the day this is a business and the studios are looking to make money and when something is not bringing in the cash they will stop for a while. Studios are not stupid and are not going to just keep throwing money away just because a handful of people want a season on bluray. Once adoption of the formay grows and the cost to put together the seasons lowers then you will see more.

The thing is.. it cost money, it doesn't sell enought to pay for itself. it's scrapped. Why would fox or any CE loose money on a product. They are out there to make money, not to please their customer at theirs... The only show that sell very well is Lost

Default prisonbreak season4

according to the uk they are releasing the complete series of prison break on blu ray called the break out edition which includes seasons 1,2,3,4 and the 88min movie , so they wont be selling the 2nd season by itself.

Ehm... that makes no sense.
It wíll come out on BD, if not initially it will come together with 'Prison Break's "re-releases".
By which I mean the first three seasons, they usually release multiple versions.
Heck, once 'Prison Break' is done, they will release it in one box like everything else.
If not even that, at some point the DVD will be done for video and it will appear on BD.
First of all, the DVD will sell less and less, and the demand for BD will become greater and greater.

Do not have a doubt that all of 'Prison Break' will appear on BD.
If nothing else for 'Prison Break' was released on BD, that would be a different story.
Currently it might just not be their highest priority, so they're just postponing it.

Does anyone know if they plan on releasing a complete series on blu ray possibly

Nothing coming up.

If you want to complete your Prison Break collection on Blu-ray the best solution is importing them from France:

Season Two

Season Four

They are both reported to be region free.

Or this:

Seasons 1-4 and Final Break

(You can also get them from Germany but they're much more expensive there.)

This is why i refuse to buy TV shows on blu-ray unless i know all seasons are planned, i got burned by getting shows like this and burn notice so i turned around and sold them and picked up all the dvd versions

stuff like supernatural, sopranos, lost etc. i picked up because i knew they were coming but i won't be picking up stuff like house, 24 etc. unless i see proof that the others are coming

it's retarded that a company will release 1-2 seasons out of a series and put the rest on DVD only.. ugh i hate these studios/companies, no i hate the person(s) in charge of these decisions

I know i wont once i get these titles in hand to complete my whole series on blu

Well, at least they are released at all.

"Dream On", an early HBO comedy series, which was brilliant I might add, got the 1st two seasons released on DVD in a set together, and then nothing else.

I guess they didn't sell well, because I actually wrote the studio that put it out and they said there are no plans to release any of the subsequent seasons on DVD.

:-(

You definitely won't be disappointed. I got the French releases of Seasons 2 and 4 and they look and sound excellent. It's great to be able to watch the entire series in HD.

Since the DVD counterpart of the season has been released, I don't see any reasons why it shouldn't be released on BD.

I just want to view a list of reasons why Fox shouldn't release second and fourth seasons. Currently, I'm going with an assumption that list is empty.
