We can't get them shipped in mint condition and they can't even stock them in stores in mint condition, so why even bother

Hopefully LoTR and Hobbit fare better since they are smaller in size

I got mine today.

The good: Zero dents in the metal tin. Wowa-woowie.

The bad: Season 7 SteelBook is empty. No discs.

I guess I've got to try to exchange it. Now the fun begins, right.

Got mine just now. Came in a really sturdy box tons of foam patting. It must be direct from the manufacturer. No dents or anything

Does it come in an outer cardboard box with HBO / Warner logos? That's how the wooden box collectors edition came last year. Very well packaged with really substantial air bag plastic around it. Was very impressed. Can understand why they went to such lengths given the cost of it though!

Yeah it has stickers from Warner Bros on the side. BUT I will say the only issue after opening it up is the season 3 steelbook has some scuffs on it like it happened during manufacturing or something, but it was only on that one. Otherwise the outside is is flawless. Number 5,126 out of 7,600. I'm sorry to anyone who has major dents and such

my Harry Potter set a few years back was MESSED UP in shipping.

I saw 1 on the new release shelf, and then 1 with all of the older 4k titles.

I was/am so tempted to get this. It would be a blind buy though, and that’s an extremely heavy price for a blind buy! I think I’ll try to binge it when I get the time on HBO Max instead.

This just arrived by UPS.

So in my history of ordering 4K steelbook box sets, only Rambo and Batman have arrived with dents. Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and Avengers were all good, although Avengers had a foam issue.

I picked mine up today it was still in the shipping box so i had them open it. It looked perfectly mint in the store not a single blemish to be found i was shocked. However when i got it home and opened it i noticed that the front of the outer steel where the middle movies insert has a very very slight curve to it- its not completely straight across so the movies are easier to get out. The metal itself doesnt look bent or misshaped at all it just has a slight curve instead of being completely straight across. I am not sure if it supposed to be like this (as there is no visible defects or bends in the metal near the curve). I also dont know if its worth trying to exchange it as not many stores have it near me, i may end up with something much worse than this one. Ive never seen a steel set this heavy without a single blemish. I may try to apply some pressure too the top of it to see if that flattens the tiny curve- i just dont want to damage it as it doesnt look bad the way it is now. It definitely doesnt look like damage in the traditional sense, just a slight variance in the manufacturing process

Poster above, its so easy to bend its literally Tin walls so thin. Take everything out and you'll see it's like paper. Really sucks for the price, should be thicker gauge metal IMO.

To the other poster who said it came in a WB pack, why aren't all shipped sets coming like this! Why unpack them to just repack them shitty?

I went ahead and just bought a set at my local Best Buy, even though I have one on the way. The set is so heavy there's a good chance it will be damaged when I receive it. If it shows up in good shape I'll probably just sell it.

That is literally insane.

I remember being ticked off when my $250 CE set came with a missing disc. But an entire season missing? That’s the worse story I’ve ever heard.

For the sake of projecting the long term availability of this limited edition I would like to formally request that all those willing, who post in this thread, also post your edition number read off of the gold sticker on the side of your Steelbook case.

This will help those who wish to wait to order later have some hope of stock. Shout! Factory was nice enough to share supply updates of the F13 set on social media. The publisher of this set will not be sharing the same. We need as many #'s as possible. For instance if someone has 7599/7600 that still means nothing in long term availability if none were released below #4000. Just one example. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

I have #1566/7600 shipped in a carboard box with no bubble wrap or packing of any kind. By sheer luck I do not see any external damage. I do have a great UPS team.

Mine came in a cardboard box with an air pillow on one side. It has a slight dent on the left side (when the spines are facing out) towards the bottom and a dent on the right side just under the dragon's talon.

I thought there was a scratch at the very top of the spine for Season 4, but it's the artwork from the front.

Have any of the HBO shows redeemed in 4K for digital?
