So yeah this is definitely Criterion. That being said I'm hanging to my copy of their BD. The remastered Making "Do the Right Thing" is enough reason. |

Like everyone, I do wish that Criterion would start releasing UHDs of the films where they already have 4k scans. Even that would be a great start IMO. At this point, I don't even care what titles they launch onto 4k with, just get that UHD train rolling...
Having said that, I must admit that I chuckle a bit inside, every time someone else beats them to the punch, with the stuff in their library. Hopefully, all of those titles have excellent sales, and prove to Criterion that the 4k waters are completely safe to jump into. |

Here’s an idea, Universal should to a John Hughes trilogy with Sixteen Candles, weird Science and Breakfast Club. All three have a 4K scan and universal has done this in the past as The Cornetto Trilogy comes to mind.

Arrow is doing 4K now. Criterion should be good to do so too.
EDIT: Now if Eureka goes 4K before Criterion, well... Criterion would be very behind by that point. *doesn't think Eureka has gone 4k yet* Last edited by Mr. Chaverria; 11-04-2020 at 10:21 PM. |

It could happen, though I imagine they might do individual releases first.
