The Blu-ray releases didn't have a resume feature either if I recall correctly. I dunno how you can put out a release without the resume feature.

Wouldn't do any harm to have that functionality, but I've never sat down to watch something without knowing I have the time to watch either the entire episode or film.

Jesus are we getting that lazy we want blurays to remember where we turned it off just put a note in your phone if your that hard pressed to remember it

I'd maybe understand if you never watched the show or it had like 22episodes 13 seasons worth of content but this is a set fans buy to rewatch

Resume is VERY handy for long films that you stopped in the middle of.

It's also handy at other times, such as when you have to pop out the disc for whatever reason (clean it off, put in something else to compare, etc.) then want to go right back.

When it resumes, it also skips ALL of the menu stuff -- it goes right back into the film.

But it doesn't make sense for remembering between-episodes. It never worked that way.

HBO doesn't release Westworld on home media - it's solely Warners, which explains the presence of the resume function on those discs.

Warner still owns HBO. I really don’t see the big deal about resume feature anyway. It’s not hard to finish an episode.

Yes, but they operate independently. Even Warner Archive Collection discs behave differently to regular Warner ones!

Will someone in WB needs to go to who ever is in charge of HBO’s home releases and fire them. This day and age you think those executives that are making thousands a year would know that stacking disc’s do nothing but scratch them and only causes people to return them.

Whoever figured out that you can stack discs and save money on packaging probably got promoted actually.

Not outside the US. The UK set has nice swing trays.

This is one show I must have ASAP after I'm in better financial shape but I knew I would probably get laid off again so I will wait to get this.

You are best to wait till they release the set in regular cases and not with stacked disc's. I’m waiting for my replacement disc's until I watch it.

Anyone else having trouble with season 3? I've had two drop audio spots so far towards the end of S3E3 and S3E5 at the15:14 mark. The audio drops for a couple seconds then the Dolby Vision notification pops back up on my Oppo 203. I'm able to repeat the issue with both episodes.

I checked both discs and see no issues and have wiped them both down but the audio dropout still happens.

So far in my marathon I'm at S5 E7 with zero issues. I had one small scratch on S5 disc 1 but it did not affect playback.

The PQ has been phenomenal. Many have already discussed season one, but 2-5 have looked amazing. I haven't done side my side comparisons, but DV seems to really help the dark scenes, and detail is excellent. There have been a couple really bright moments, Blackwater notably and dragon fire, that have been really bright, but they were aided by contrast against dark scenes.

The Atmos is top notch (which we all know by this point). Overheads are complementary most of the time, but a few times per season they really get a workout.
