It's funny how Diane Lane, even after her triumphant, overdue but much-deserved nomination for Unfaithful, remains underrated. She is consistently good, and I always look forward to her performance, whether if I am interested in the film or not. The power of a great actor.

I really hope she is a dark horse this season. There's still plenty of time to build more buzz for her.

I hope so disco1979 - I wholeheartedly agree with everything you've said there. She is so underrated - but highly regarded in the industry. Maybe her peers and fellow thesps, producers etc will vote for her (regardless of GoldDerby etc giving her the unjustified cold-shoulder). She really is deserving for 'LET HIM GO'.
