I've had drop audio on s3e3 and s3e5. I can repeat the issue with s3e5 at the 15:14 mark.

Edit: the drop out only happens with Dolby Atmos for s3e5. I switched to Dolby Audio 5.1 and had no drop out issue.

Because eBay has a Global Shipping program and BestBuy.com refuses to ship outside the U.S.
BestBuy.ca (Canada) didn't get the Steelbook sets for GoT or LoTR or The Hobbit.

Just watched my season 3, ep.3 and thankfully there were no audio anomalies. I guess different sets have different problems. So far I’ve only encountered the one, which was repeatable. Is there a way to get replacement discs for the problem ones without exchanging the whole boxset?

I'm just going to buy another set from Amazon and switch the discs that are giving me issues and then return it.

You should try contacting HBO. I mentioned earlier that had bought the True Blood complete set on sale at Best Buy a few years back and several of the discs were scratched and/or skipped. I contacted HBO directly and after they verified my purchase I simply sent them the faulty discs - to someplace in NJ, I think - and they fairly promptly sent me replacements.

I don't immediately recall the contact e-mail I used but maybe you can reach them through the HBO Store? It might be worth a shot if you only have one bad disc.

Thanks. I’ll try contacting them after I finish the whole set.

I know that HBO won’t replace missing discs if the set wasn’t purchased direct from them.

They wouldn’t do it for me on my CE set.

...not sure why defective discs would be different.

Extremely unpopular opinion, but thought it's a fitting time to post this article, maybe some people would agree

Opinion | The Game of Thrones Finale is an Excellent Conclusion to the Series

I don't know about missing discs and whether they've changed their policy, but all I can speak to is the fact that HBO did send me replacement discs for the True Blood set I had purchased at Best Buy. It stinks that you had missing discs. Sorry they didn't help you out.

Switched out the set and I still have the drop out on s3e5 at 15:14 mark on the new set with the Atmos track

...I'm a little late to the party, but I had to import mine into Canada.
Nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs for almost 6 weeks.

Pristine condition, well, other than a minor wave along the top of the front of the box, that can be easily corrected.
All disc's are present in their respective cases,
Thank goodness because import/export/exchanging would have been near impossible.

I just finished watching my set yesterday. I knew nothing about people having issues with missing/damaged discs until about season 7 when I tried watching one of the discs. I had 3 players they would not read the first disc.

I jumped online, and discovered a bunch of reviews that said they had missing/defective discs in their set. For my issue, it turned out to be there was a huge smudge on the disc. Cleaned it up, and never had another issue.

I never got into the series when it was in it's prime on HBO, so it was a whole new experience for me. Loved it. Looks great in 4k. LG OLED tv with a Panasonic UB820 player. Stunning visuals!

I bet that was an awesome experience to experience it the way that you did! It wasn't 4K but that was the same way I first experienced Breaking Bad. Plan to do it with Sons of Anarchy during my 17 days off of work during the Christmas holidays! Hoping to fit this one in during that stretch also. Gonna be tight!

I loved Season 8 and everyone I knows thought it was great. I’ve read all the criticisms and while interesting don’t agree.

Season 5 was my least favorite. Littlefinger Trial is one of my favorite episodes. Writers set us up good on that one.

Parts of it are, I enjoy season 8 up until the battle which was one of the worst episodes I've ever seen (also the editing to make it so dark reminds me of AVP Requiem which they admitted a decade later they messed up on). Add in the pin point accuracy on the boats to hit the flying dragon 40 times an episode later, and the rushed conclusion and then best friend council send off it became quite underwhelming when you look back and realize you invested 10 years in the show lol

Theres a reason the creators lost all their gigs and future shows of glory, it was rushed and poorly executed. They'll always be some people it speaks to or like it, but they don't make content for minority opinions they make it for the masses to consume and continue to consume, and on that note it was a failure. Same as the Last Jedi they'll always be supporters banging the war drums that its misunderstood or actually great, but no studio/ production department or business would want a few thousand supporters/ shoppers, vs. 10s of millions of happy ones.

I can't believe this isn't sold out yet. Luckily. I'm hoping to pick it up after the holidays. I just got crushed with LOTR & Hobbit, Blade, Joker & Top Gun and and decided to buy Hulk 2003 lol I need a break, but I want this set so bad!

Anyone have an idea of how many of the 7500 are still available?

If you haven't experienced The Shield, that one should be next on your list. lol

Funny thing is I remember the fans being blown away by season 8. It gave us so many of the moments that we've craved for so long like Ayra returning to King's Landing and reuniting with Jon. Other than it being too dark, the Battle episode was pretty exciting, I thought, but it did leave me feeling cheated afterwards.

Plus why does D&D get all the blame? They were following the major plot points that Martin laid out for them to conclude the story. Martin should get some blame them for failing to come up with a satisfying ending. I think the reality is he crafted a world and story that would feel wrong if you suddenly tried to tie it all up with a nice bow and say The End.

Read through the posts starting on launch day. Most of the posters on this thread have commented on the number of their set. It may help you surmise a guess of your own as to what may yet be available.

Seems the highest number posted so far was around 5600...

I'm gonna pull the trigger once we get into the last 1000 I think. Hopefully it will take a few weeks.

Or I may just lose control and pull the trigger tonight lol
