Same here, though I appreciate some disclaimers.

Beastmaster I took to be less than their usual quality for obvious reasons. So much so it was worth mentioning I would imagine.

There a lot on the Forgotton Giallo set because of the back and forth between English and Italian that is also unavoidable because of the elements.

The original camera negative is lost so they used a first generation interpositive print IIRC. I think it looks absolutely fine considering.

If anything the warning should be a reminder to studios who lose negatives.

I didn't have much time with B(r)eastmaster before I had to leave over the holidays, but a quick scan through a bunch of scenes seemed to show a fairly bright grade (high averages), and ample but not excessive saturation. Various skin tones within the same scenes showed both ample and restrained saturation, so I don't think it's a blanket saturation effect. It does look punchy, and that's the kind of image that sometimes tone-maps a little hot. Is that 3550 in your sig what you're using? Nice machine! Then you're a projector guy like me, and the added compression to the HDR range can exacerbate the effect. Either way, I can see the warm and punchy grade, but at a glance it doesn't look like they overdid anything.

Yes. They have a shipping center in Canada, and if you're in Europe, they mark them low so customs doesn't overcharge you.

I was hesitant on even opening this once I received due to the earlier pages of some screencaps that was shared. They were very overly saturated to my eyes. But after seeing the screencaps comparison by capaholics I quickly then viewed it. Overall im very pleased with what we got. Colors are not strong at all but almost perfect. Image is soft early on in the movie but does improve. Considering their sourcing, this cannot get any better I take it.

Audio was great on the original track. No issues at all.

Superb packaging makes this a great buy for any fan. Don't hesitate!

BTW* I only watched the 1080 disc.

My OLED is ISF calibrated by Kris Deering (former technical editor of Sound and Vision) and I don't think the color is overdone. It's warm for sure. Tanya has always had startling blue eyes, so no change there.

No playback glitches on the UHD in the Oppo 203.

I just contacted Kris to see if he could carry on with my calibrations since my favorite one recently retired. Thanks for the tip!

That's what I was thinking. Someone mentioned it didn't happen on their Panasonic and I happen to have a Panasonic player so there's a good chance I won't see that.

I also have a Sony UHD Blu-ray player I can try it on too, but I won't be able to check that out till after Christmas. It's still in it's bag waiting for me to open it up on Christmas day!

I won't have time to mess with it till I get home from work on Christmas day.

Never had a problem with RAD or any other UHD for that matter on my Sony X700 but yet here is this problem?

Conform to standard I say. Maybe Sony will fix on update but just annoying all the same.

I keep reading about RAD on this thread, I checked out the trailer and yea, it looks like something that would be great for my collection! Problem is, I don't know if it's still available from VS or not.
