no its TBSHD & alot of other stations fault....they do this because as usual the vast majority of people are stupid & want the picture to fill the entire screen.

almost the same kinda reason when TNTHD shows LOTR they fill the 16x9 pic & cutoff the sides.

ps - on the TBSHD situation i have a button on my tv remote that can unstretch the pic to a 4x3.
