Stargate: Universe (Season 2.5 begins March 7th) - Page 14 - Blu-ray Forum

I thought the series was ALRIGHT overall. I enjoyed the characters, but sometimes the story lacked and felt repetitive.

As for the finale, it felt like they left open the possibility of the series returning in some way as they were all going to a new destination but that would take three years to get there. They can easily start a new series from that but with different characters that happened upon that ship as well. No?

As others have said, they were finally starting to make it good, and now it is over.

I hope they do bring Stargate back in some form. I am fine with the occasional straight to dvd movie rather than a series because I think they have a better shot at getting funding for that. The way networks have been killing shows is insane.

Finally caught up last night, and it is indeed sad to see a show that had finally found its pace with a slew of great eps in the 2nd season go away like this.

Will buy the complete series (all of -2- seasons) if it is released on BR.

I got started way, way late on the Stargate series of shows. I finally got caught up in time for it to end.

I loved all three series. SGU is unfairly hated, IMO. SGU was just different. Some fanboys just don't like change. I'm going to miss Stargate and hope it comes back in some form.

What was hated about SGU were the melodramatic flourishes (musical montages, incessant pairing off of characters, etc.) added to the Stargate series of shows in the first season. The writers finally figured out the fans were not too happy about those changes, but only by the second half of the second season when the show's fate had already been sealed. I do think SyFy's split-season scheduling really hurt SGU's chances in the ratings, the serialization did not feel right from half-season to half-season. Some channels have to realize that certain shows just can't survive long breaks within the same season.

SG-1 didnt have split seasons. That was a good thing.

I think it was a decent final episode considering they didn't know they were cancelled. A shame, as I thought the show was pretty decent. Are there any space based sci-fi shows left anymore? Will there be again, I wonder?

I believe there is another BS Galactica coming. I dont watch it but ive heard rumors.

Oh it's not just a rumor.

Blood & Chrome is the pilot of a new series that was filmed in February, with a whole new cast.
It will be set (if we ever see it, SyFy still hasn't announced it picked it) during the 10th year of the first war against the Cylons (the toaster ones), as we will follow a young William Adama during a covert mission that could change the tide of the war.

Cast includes:
Luke Pasqualino as William Adama, Ben Cotton as Coker Fasjovik and Lili Bordan as Dr Becca Kelly.

after watching the season finale I'm freaking PISSED that the dumb f@cks over there decided to cancel the series just as it was picking up steam. this last 1/2 of the series has been nothing but great to excellent ending with a excellent finale that makes me die for more.... SGU... you were killed just as you got good

I have the original Stargate Universe complete season 1 on Bluray bought back in 2012.
Can anyone tell me if it was region locked to A or was it region free(B). I still have it sealed in its wrapper.
