Default Home Theater Advice - 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos

Hi everyone! I'm in the process of planning out my new home theater! Ideally, I'd like a 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound system and a decent receiver.

This is the speaker system I had in mind: https://www.klipsch.com/products/r-8...theater-system

Any recommendations for a receiver? Thank you!

Hi! Can you help me decide, is the Panamax MR4000 8 socket home theater worth buying?

Personally I would go with these over klipsch. Better imaging, better dispersion. kEF Q950

That's a sweet set-up and a lot of speaker!

My mini-theater uses Klipsch across the front 3, but not towers - just bookshelf's and they do all I need them to!
Well built and good sound IMO...

Klipsch seems to be very popular on this site, so I don't think you can go wrong there (I'm a PARADIGM man myself).

As far as an amp goes, I would strongly suggest you consider either stretching to a 11.1 channel amp if the budget allows ( Your room clearly does if you are going with 7 bed channels). If not, then try and find an amp that allows for decoding of extra channels with external amplification.

I bought a budget ONKYO TX-NR787 a year and a half ago to see if there was anything to this ATMOS/ DTS X object based sound gimmick thing. Of course I was hooked and very quickly looking to add height channels. Without Pre-outs, the ONKYO was a dead end. Lucky for me, a DENON x4500h fell into my lap at a ridiculous price.

The good thing about going with KLIPSCH (or PARADIGM) is that adding timberally matched channels is a snap!
