Anyway, I've not actually watched the recent Godzilla/Kong films, so I'll have to catch up. This looks pretty and like it has the potential to be entertaining.

Godzilla (2014) is the very definition of a one and done. I might cut that shit down to 90 minutes and watch it. Skull Island is dumb, seriously, but it knows what it is. KotM is some kind of mad concoction of both that mostly works.

Looks fun. The first Godzilla was mediocre. KotM was atrocious. Skull Island rocked, so here's hoping it goes more along that way in terms of themes and whatnot. Loved seeing Kong counter sonic breath.

I can get excited about that. But only when they're men in suits. CGI always leaves me feeling a little cold, I guess. It's like two animated monsters, crushing animated cities, being shot at by animated armies. I might as well be watching a video game. Renting the Showa-era films as a kid, part of the fun was always imagining that you were in the suit obliterating large swaths of miniature buildings and remote control tanks. Tangible things that actually exist and occupy real space.

I'm sure the target audience will love this movie, but it's strange knowing that a property I grew up with and loved has become something very different for another demographic entirely. I guess Kaiju films and I have parted ways over the years. I consider it an amicable divorce, at least.

Godzilla: Mothra.

A big monkey and a big lizard fight because of some unspecified past conflict. That's about as spoiler as the trailer gets. Give it a watch.

The trailer also more or less confirms one of the leaked plot descriptions so based on that the trailer is very misleading which makes it even more safe.

I forgot that Adam Wingard was directing this, LMAO NOOOOOOOO. Here's hoping it's lightyears better than Blair Witch.

I enjoyed Godzilla '14, Skull Island and King of the Monsters to varying degrees, so I'm sure I'll have fun with this one. Looks like it will deliver some spectacular visuals and action set pieces at the very least.

That trailer music is freaking terrible. Other than that, trailer looks amazing, and that final shot!
