so I found a TWF Twitter post saying Pink Films Vol 1 & 2 is Sold Out
so unless I can find one maybe instore HMV/Fopp after lockdown
I've missed this somehow

they also said in same tweet that Pink Films Vol 3 & 4 stock is running low
and that was back in November

so take it these are more popular than I would think
or they're not pressing that many ?

as I can't imagine them selling more than a thousand say in 8 - 9 months ?
if that's how many there was ?

The Pink film collections (Vol 1 & 2, Vol 3 & 4) were both 500 units each for the UK and I believe Germany had the other 500 units. It was basically a very limited run and it makes sense because it's a rather niche genre in my opinion.

On a different topic, Amazon dispatched the Ujicha collection so that should be here tomorrow.

I'm still waiting on them to release it for ordering to Ireland...

Think vol 5 & 6 as well as any other future volumes will be limited to 500 each in the UK. Definitely day one purchases.

so was it Limited edition ? or have they temp run out of stock?
will they be repressing more ? or releasing a boxset ?

I noticed there's a German release which looks like it has exactly same films
with Eng Subs so I might have to get that if it's definitely OOP & Sold out ?
You can get the UK release of Pink Films Vol 3 & 4 from here on Ebay for £14.99 (free P&P). There are 3 copies left so I recommend you buy asap.

Liverpool HMV definitely has 1 or 2 copies of Vol 1&2 in stock, at least they did when I was in there just before Christmas, they've been closed since.

Are there any other free online festivals to keep an eye out for? Just in general

The Ujicha collection has arrived! I provided more photos over on the anime sub-section of the forum but it's a really nice package and there's a great amount of features on the discs. Going to watch Violence Voyager first before the rest later today.

Director Ujicha also noticed my tweet and said thanks

I got couple cheap DVD's with it, and used the £5 voucher (over £25 spend get £5 off)

HMV also still have Vol 3 & 4 in stock I noticed

It says Limited Availability on Arrow site & it has gone from Amazon, Zavvi & HMV.

I would hurry up & buy it from Arrow before it sells out.

I seriously hope this comes back in stock or get reissued in some way, I'm mad at myself for not picking it up when I had the chance.
If it did sell out there can't have been that many copies, it sold faster than the Pink Film sets witch I believe were 500 copies each.
Was the demand for his films so high that he would so strongly outsell Toyoda or the early Tezuka ?

Impulsively ordered it too, with a Kim Ki-duk double feature. Now watch as it comes back in stock the very moment I open the box.

With the third Pink Films collection now scheduled, I'm curious to see what else Third Window Films plans to release next.

Funky Forest? Labyrinth of Cinema? The Forest of Love? Or perhaps any of the films that the distributor liked and featured on Instagram*?

*From the 2019 list, Melancholic was picked up by Third Window while On-Gaku is coming via Anime Ltd

I'm certain they'll release Vital once Tartan's long term license runs out which should be soon.
