Sony's X950H is my favorite 4K LCD/LED TV, however, once you get spoiled with an emissive display, like plasma it's tough to go with any LCD TV.
Watching news and channels with watermarks should not be any issue for any modern OLED TV and not much different that the plasma they owned. SO if the plasma does not have burn-in it's very unlikely they would have any issue with a new OLED TV. OLED TVs cost more than LCD TV, but the end of year closeout sales are very aggressive now. If they don't have an external audio system Sony's 65" A9G Master Series 4K HDR OLED TV for $2,497 all in and derived would be my top recommendation. |
