*No Spoilers* Watched Beginning earlier and for me it was like watching someone trying a bit too hard to make an arthouse film. Imo a bit pretentious and it also didn't help when it's supposedly set in a Jehovah's Witness community but was filled with inaccuracies. Why would a director want to set it in a specific community and then not be accurate in it's portrayal? Someone not familiar won't be bothered by that of course. Safe to say I won't be watching it again. |
