Maybe Warner have had a change of heart with regards to licensing.

I seriously doubt Warner wanted IOTD back themselves, especially as IOTD is lower tier Lewton (which is still good), but no where near the top tier as The Body Snatcher was. And TBS did poorly for Scream, maybe because of the high price to recoup mastering costs? And so why continue on with a much lesser title like IOTD where you will lose even more money? And there are no other interested parties in these Lewtons, it seems, outside of Kino who has no WB deal.

The two top tier Lewtons left are I Walked With a Zombie and the excellent Bedlam. Ghost Ship and The 7th Victim are both terrific, too, but no where on the same level, at least in my eyes.

I hope WAC can get the other 4 Lewtons out, so everybody buy up IOTD and show some love!!! I won't wait for the 4/$44 to pick up IOTD this time, to show some support.

Wasn't it on Shock Waves Podcast (I think) that SF said the Lewton films under sold and that Isle of the Dead still had restoration work needed and WB wanted SF to front some of the cost if they wanted to release it on Blu. SF bulked because the cost of restoring Isle of the Dead would never be recouped if it under sold like the other Lewton films...

Sony might put the original out on 4K themselves. If I remember correctly, their questionnaire for potential 4K releases for 2021 had I Know What You Did Last Summer on it, along with other horror titles like Fright Night and Night of the Living Dead (1990).

You'd better not complain if the slate turns out to be all IFC Midnight releases. You asked for it.

I mean, I'm sure they're going to release Hunter Hunter, which i hear is quite good.
If hat's a title they announce, I won't complain.

But for real, I hope it's more older films that are new to blu.

They have apparently had The Dead Zone for months if that FB comment was any indication. By waiting so long to announce it though, that multi-pack could end up cutting into their sales.

Oh wow, Night of the living dead 1990 on UHD would be awesome (and fright night too!). I do wish Scream or especially Arrow could pick those up and give them better packages and extras than Sony ever could. Still, i'll take whatever new release of Night 1990 comes out.

Kong 76 would be very welcome, can't believe Paramount skip the blu ray area for it, what a waste of money that was.

Unless there's a new scan and some meaty extras, which could help the movies sales chances.

I'm happy for the time to breathe, last year they released all the titles I had requested:

Graveyard Shift
Tales From the Darkside Movie
Silver Bullet
Big Trouble in Little China
And the big one, the F13 set. After all of the Hammer films, man, that was a great year for Scream! The only two things that would surprise me, and really I don't see it happening, would be a Nightmare on Elm Street bluray boxset or a UHD Halloween boxset, since I missed out on the first one...

If they do a Nightmare Box Set I hope they convert the 3-D to Real 3-D for 3-D TV's and not the Red/Blue they used in the theaters.
