I'd be depressed, and prefer that my fans went wanting rather than seeing this material in the same level of cleanliness and clarity as Bad Boys.

How many decades has it been since you have seen The Abyss? I'd love a uhd or even a HD transfer of it. But I appreciate that if I got one I'd be wincing as much as I was watching that way terminator 2 uhd...
Wasn't there a HD widescreen version of The Abyss on Netflix at one point?

Every thread has comments go off topic a bit. Normal.

The initial post was on topic about possibly why Disney decide to release a catalog title after being reported it had abounded such on physical format.

But I can quote the baiting post that started down this path.

They must’ve just removed it. Because it wasn’t there when I checked.

If you're in Canada The Abyss is on CRAVE along with True Lies, both in HD. Abyss looks really good most likely the recent transfer (it's got that Aliens teal colour grade) but True Lies was an older HD master probably made for the abandoned 5 star Edition DVD.

So....does that mean there's a chance of LA Confidential 4K as well?

With regards to the unknown US release I tell everyone heed the words below

Don't ever get yourself attached to anything you cant walk away from in 30 seconds or less if you feel the heat coming around the corner.

Not sure if a 4K master exist? I think it's safe to assume Disney will go for low hanging fruit first (titles Fox had completed prior to the merger).

I'm thinking Patton and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid could be highly likely if Disney green lights anymore titles this year.

Speed had been rumored as a potential since late last year.

They will green light them if the plan is for 20th CS to finance future catalogue releases.

Both Speed and Heat already had 4K masters in the Fox vault well before Disney took over.

Besides Speed, and Heat. Does anyone know what else Fox would have 4K masters for?

If only he'd included a politician's name in a joke, perhaps he'd have gotten immediately banned for a week with no warning as I was. #notbitter lol

Of course they've announced Heat on 4K - I've just bought the blu-ray.

I'm guessing the 1968 Planet of the Apes, since it is appearing in listings for the 'adult' Disney streaming service.

I am assuming all the films listed (I think about 270, if memory serves) will be 4K ready.
