...patience can also leave you paying double down the road ... I wouldn't compare with Aviator since french steels do not go up in value as much since they tend to be locked and have those ubiquitous forced subs

This is true but I didn't really buy it to go up in value as I like the film and the steelbook. I am multi region for BD so that doesn't bother me - the forced subs do but hey ho -

I guess what I was getting at was I waited a while and got it at a price good for me. I know I might pay more if I don't buy it soon but that is the risk you take

Not to mention that they are not limited. I don't think TF1 has released a Blu-ray in amaray case when it was previously released in SteelBook.

Yeah, I was going to mention this. As a collector, I might be tempted to buy more TF1 releases if they were limited.
