Finally got around to checking this out and watched the first season over the last few nights. I enjoyed it a lot, but I've always been a sucker for horror anthologies anyway.

My favorite stories were Gray Matter (although the ending was so chaotic and abrupt I don't know what was happening), The House of the Head, The Finger, The Man In the Suitcase, Lydia Layne's Better Half, Night of the Paw, and By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain.

I loved the use of practical effects and the varied tones; some stories were very dark and gory, while some where almost kid-friendly but in that '80s way where they still have some darkness to them. I had a lot of fun with the show. I remembered there were two holiday specials late last year, so I plan to watch those soon and am looking forward to season two.
