I understand that but i would like to know what people find interesting in that film.

I labeled it as overrated because i don't see how it is remotely comparable to actual classics.

I have already explained with an actual argument, filled with statements from the director about why they're all 100% comic accurate and just adapted in a grounded take.

They did release stuff like The Deer Hunter who does not sell a lot of copies and The Elephant Men which is a niche character study from Lynch.

The only reason why we don't have Fincher's 4K is because they didn't print it yet;

TDKR is a Bruce Wayne story, he has a fair share of screentime and an actual character arc, from a reclusive Howard Hughes figure to the symbol of Gotham.

Yes, I'm just giving my opinion. I do not really see how Batman Returns is even comparable to The Game or Alien 3, how do people believe that film is better than Fight Club? Can you enlighten me?

I simply stated an unpopular opinion, since it seems like BR being out in that level is popular nowdays.



First one is good-ish, other two are unwatchable..

Right I have not seen The Game.

The Reasons why I like Batman Returns are

Great cast
Danny Elfman's outstanding score.
The set design
It feels more like a comic Book then The Dark Knight Rises which I find over long.
It has the best Batman and Catwoman in it.

Yes you like TDKR and that is fine. I don't yes I own it but every time I watch it it gets worse.

And yes I do like Alien 3 but again Batman Returns is the better film. Film is subjective.

No such thing as objective when it comes to film. When are some people gonna understand that? Everything in film is subjective. There's no right or wrong answer unless it's a flat out lie or some extreme hyperbole.

TDKR got better upon repeat viewings, actually it's one of my favorite Nolan's films.

Best Batman? No way.

Films that can be considered some of the greatest

I saw it when it came out on VHS back in the day. I was not a fan of the plot and it went on for far to long. I did not like any of the characters. David Finder has made some good films like Seven or The Social Network Fight Club was not one of them.

Though I really like The Dark Knight, I like Batman Begins a lot more.

While I'm at it, I don't care much for Inception and I think The Prestige is a much better film. I'd even go as far as to say The Prestige may be Nolan's masterpiece.

When a comic runs 80+ years you can find any number of things to make any movie "comic accurate". Yet another dumb argument to prop up your deity.
