Not least because former BBFC Director James Ferman had basically been pushed out of his job the previous year following a row about his unilateral decision to relax R18 guidelines without informing the Home Office or HMRC, the latter complaining that he was passing stuff that they were still officially supposed to seize at the border.

Sometimes original titles make sense but I think some labels only used original titles e.g. BFI (please correct me if I'm wrong), some Eureka releases too and it can be unnecessarily confusing. Of course sometimes the original titles can be more poetic, convey different or untranslatable meanings, or be so iconic or very simple to understand that it makes no sense to translate it.
