While I'm sure I'm not the first person that has said that they are careful with their discs, I like to consider all arguments. So maybe I should just store the slip cases in favor of not stacking them for scratch related issues. Something to consider.. I usually do prefer single disc holders, each disc in their own hub, but I wanted to keep the slip cases. Now I have some thinking to do.

Does anyone happen to have cover art dimensions for a Viva Elite 25mm spine 8 disc case? The dimensions of the Case itself are 171.5mm x 136mm x 25mm but I'm needing the dimensions for the cover art. I do not have a case on hand to print a cover for a test fitting and this is for a friend outside of my own state. Is this style of case the same as the original 5 disc Blade Runner case or something else. Ideally I'd love the exact dimensions however as I have the 5 disc Blade runner release I could attempt to measure that cover if folks are able to confirm that the cases are the same.

I am on the hunt for a clear DVD case that's 14mm and holds 6 discs...(non stack). I know that they make them because I'm trying to replace a broken case. Anyone know? I reached out to Megadiscstore and they do not sell this kind of case.

Have you tried Amazon? They sell different types there, as I've purchased some before. But, here are some examples:

https://www.amazon.com/Maxtek-Standa...33708488&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/AcePlus-Stand...62116479&psc=1

I'm not sure about clear cases. These ones are black DVD cases.

Yeah, I have tried Amazon and I should have mentioned of the reason of the clear DVD case is due to artwork and episode descriptions that are showing on the flipside of the DVD insert that can of course be seen through the DVD case. I will have to continue to hunt for them. Thanks though!

I would just keep trying then. Just try different search terms on Amazon as new sellers post new items from time to time. Those links I posted above took me a minute or two to find but there are many more sellers on there. I would also try other Amazon sites such as Amazon Canada, UK and so forth. I post posted a few from the Amazon US store.

I’m confused then. How can 6 discs fit in a standard width case without at least this partial stacking? It looks like the “stacked” ones have that extra little bump under the hub, so I don’t think the stacking should be too much of an issue.

Huh. This disc hubs are the viva elite style. Might try a few search queries for “6-disc viva” or other variations.

It's not really the same size as the 5-disc, it has two more center things, and no hubs on the actual case part, so it's bigger than the Blade Runner.

It's hard to get a really precise measurement on the case, I'd put the spine closer to 23mm than 25. If you want to send me a file, I can print it out as a test, that's probably an easier way to do it.

Has anyone else noticed that some UHD releases have different types of 12.5mm cases? I have noticed on a couple of mine (Gladiator 4K and Maleficent 4K) that the cases are a little different.

The ones I am talking about have a slightly different design above the "4K UltraHD" at the top (the ridge is not just straight across, but has has an extra little 'bump' in it), and they also appear different at the point where the front, back, and spine meet. These "different" cases seem a little sturdier than the Viva Elite and Viva Elite Eco. Does anyone know what brand these other cases are?

Yes. I think Kino uses these. And I’ve gotten a couple 2-disc Disney/Pixar in these (I think ratatouille). They look closest to viva, but with a slightly different hub, embossed area above art, and the reinforcement bar on the inside goes all the way across like it did on the old viva cases before they got flimsy.

They definitely feel sturdier. They “snap” more satisfactorily. The open/close action almost feels like the chunkier vortex cases (like shout select uses and some older universal releases use), but the spine and hub more closely resemble viva elite, though it’s not identical.

My god, I know too much about plastic clamshell cases lol

Anyone know where to find the clear cases that Code Red and Scorpion Releasing use on their movies? They’re a little thinner than the standard clear VinSyn case, and they have the little security latch.

Anybody have current success with Casetopia?? The Goodwoodeshop/megadisc store is a lot more expensive per case. A lot! Plus they have a limited selection.

I'm at a 50% success rate for my last two orders. I placed an order on December 2 and it shipped on the 5th (though I did send a preemptive "check-in" email on the 4th). I placed another order a couple weeks ago (March 6) and its status is still "Processing." I've sent two emails but haven't gotten any response yet; my next email will be asking if they're going to ship, or if I should begin the payment dispute process.

I agree that Casetopia has a better selection and much better prices than anywhere else. Unfortunately, the current service level seems to be back at a low point.

They get the stuff to you. But both times I ordered a couple weeks or so went by and had to email them about the order and then they shipped out the next day. If you don't mind that then they are worth buying from for there good prices.
