The fact that it's so highly rated by everyone makes me hate it even more, when there are such perfect masterpieces like Amadeus or Casino that are "rated" lower."

So, there's a take.
It’s not for everyone but those takes are abysmal, everything said is what the film does masterfully. And whenever somebody puts “ever” I can’t help but feel they’ve only seen a few films in their life.

For my money, Scorsese’s Magnum Opus.

I don't know anything about Dark city but are you honestly under the impression that The Matrix wasn't heavily influenced and/or borrowed directly from Ghost in the Shell? The Wachowskis have openly stated that was the case and even showed their crews footage of Ghost in the Shell during preproduction. You really know next to nothing about anime, do you?

Not at all, as I've said multiple times in the past, I rather enjoy several of Nolan's films, particularly Dunkirk and The Dark Knight. The only person here who seems to suffer from that myopic view about directors and Nolan is you.

Are you under the impression that me posting about Paprika was done to get a rise out of you or something? What a remarkably overinflated sense of self-importance you must have. Paprika was on my mind because of a discussion I had earlier with a friend. My post had nothing to do with you, the MCU, or your opinion on either.

Perhaps you would be better served by occasionally looking at the world and others through something other than how it may or may not relate to your favorite director and/or least favorite franchise.
Nolan wrote the script before and at best took inspiration from one scene, but the movies are vastly different and just because a YouTube video says something, it does not mean it's true. That's opinion based.

Inception with Paprika only shares the basic concept of entering dreams. That existed already from other films like Dreamscape, don't know why some Marvel fans still hate Nolan, TDKR was 9 years ago.

"The Invisible Man" remake from last year was sub-par and not worth one's time.

At least your opinion has nothing to do with Fincher, Nolan, superhero movies, or Star Wars. Most impressive.

I thought it was good except for one kinda important aspect... The villain. Not only did they cast a rather vanilla looking actor who doesn't exactly exude mad scientist, but they in no way developed his character or the science and drive behind his creation. The film creates an atmosphere of dread and suspense, but by the end of it, the villainy behind it left me cold. I was disappointed.

RENEGADES 2017 or American Renegades in the U.S., is an undemanding blast of 80's/90's style action adventure and fun with a nice heist plotline. Solid action, fx, big in scale, and likable cast to keep the pace going. Quite enjoyable. Totally recommend it to those who saw the blu ray cover art thinking it was just a DTV bargain bin cheapie... it certainly isn't that.
