You can complain about whether you feel that TDK could have been more subtle in its execution of themes (though no less so than any film Marvel's queefed out over the last 20 years), but at least it managed to hit its target every time.

An answer to the usual TDK and Nolan haters:

It seems impossible and increasingly futile to judge all other comic book films on their own merit when Nolan has raised the bar to the quality standard to unprecedented heights, to the point that it's so difficult for other directors, young and old, whatever is Raimi or Snyder to keep up, and their respective bodies of work look and feel so empty and hollow in retospect. It's akin to witnessing the awe-inspiring beauty of DaVinci's Mona Lisa, then watching a gaggle of preschoolers stick their crudely colored scribbles on the wall next to it; they simply pale in comparison.

Unfortunately, fanbases of these directors have become so harsh and resentful at the sheer effortless way Nolan has leapfrogged the rest of the comic book genre, in such a relatively sort time, that they lash out using bashing with subjective takes that is a toxic combination of nonsense.

The Dark Knight is still the best film and product of the entire genre, in any measurable level
and that's something that tons of Marvelites, Whedonites, Burtonites, Snyder fans and various fanbases of indie companies will have to deal with for the foreseeable future.

But hey, some of these haters love garbage such as BvS.

The last one um... meh.
Batman Begins was the best CBM ever at it's time of it's release, surpassed only by TDK which is the best thing the genre has ever seen in any form of medium.

Nolan's 15+ year reign as "CBM champion" began with the first film and ended with the 3rd best comic book film ever made, and he's been playing 'keep away' with the title from Marvel, Valiant and the rest of DC (*Cough hacks like Russos and Snyder*) ever since.

It was a step down from Leigh Whannel's last movie, 'Upgrade' which was terrific.

Oh look, someone's subjective opinion will for sure change any archiviement a movie has.

Dunno why this site has a massive hatred for Nolan, yet they enjoy garbage films directed by talentless hacks such as BvS or The First Avenger.

Of course, since you criticize Nolan a lot. I have no need about any attention, but this site is the most Anti-Nolan i've ever seen. Why there is not one single guy defending Nolan here? Because it's non-existent to see his fans there.

With laughable plot turns (Why did you say that name?!!!), fake looking CGI, hack writing and a complete misunderstanding of the conflict of Batman vs Superman... BvS completely ruined the DCEU.

TDK is still widely considered to the pinnacle of the genre, and since the vapid reception of Dulltron, Hack Snyder's cut, Wonder Woman 1984 and many other turds. It doesn't seem to be changing in the future.
