Within the context of the movie, that was implausible but exciting. But then they try to do it again with a subway train ("The track isn't finished!" Come on now). Jack decides to speed up the train...why? So he can crash through the wall, which looks and sounds super cool?

There are other parts that cross the line from "hey, this is a fun movie" to "give me a break". And they kept that up with the sequel. At least they were consistent.

I'm not so certain. Physicians generally rely on science. For faucet based logic, I believe a plumber would be more suitable.
