I actually think Disney want release their movies mainly via streaming in the future instead of 4K physical media. They will safe production cost/marketing and making more money via streaming.

And thanks via Geoblocking or high-speed internet issues in many areas (non-city) will missing the chance to get the movie/tv series.

I can't speak for the Abyss, but True Lies is on Blu-ray. I found a copy on eBay. Now, I know what you are thinking. So, let me explain. I was looking up 9 to 5 on Blu-ray on eBay to see if there were any cheaper copies than what Amazon has up. When searching I came across a listing for a lot of movies on Blu-ray that include True Lies. I believed, initially, the listing to be some handmade movie release done from someone's home and not one that is real. However, when I looked at the photos, the movies look very real and studio pressed rather than something homemade. I know, as I have purchased many a DVD on eBay that ended up being homemade and you could tell. I couldn't distinguish these from the Speed Blu-ray. That's how good they look. At least in the photos anyway. But I will let people know.

no, the Dolby Cinema 4k 2D and true dual eye 4k 3D showings were all in the OAR 2.35:1

2022 will be the 25th anniversary of Titanic (1997), so maybe Paramount could release the 4K in America while Disney releases the 4K internationally.

Paramount (US) and 20th Century Studios/Disney (Internationally) could release Titanic on 4K Blu-ray in 2022 for its 25th anniversary.

Exactly. If it were legit, I can guarantee you many people would be planning to buy it and be excited by the news.

Given its Cameron...will believe it when I see the real announcement. And that goes for any of his movies on disc...

Yes it is! I hate how the ship looks on the bottom. The early TBA BD cover art wasn't too bad, but the same crappy rendition of the ship ruined it. It's similar to the 10th Ann. Edition from 2007.

I'd be happy if the UK art was used for its 4K release. The US 2012 DVD cover was lazy, though both shots are beautiful in motion. The 1997 teaser poster would make a fantastic embossed 4K steelbook.

I actually like the GeekGab art.

But yeah, Fox's international releases had much nicer covers than Paramount's artwork. The 10th anniversary DVD set looks like some VHS cover from the 80s.

It totally would! I seem to recall the teaser poster being displayed at my local movie theater and it was massive. Probably 7ft tall or so…not quite to scale of the ship though…
