it's supposedly 70 degrees here in Washington DC, but it's damp, wet, overcast and gloomy - I might go on a walk later, but ugh, the weather always brings me down, but hey it's good for the garden.

I just got into a heated political discussion on Facebook with a friend who I've known since kindergarten.
Whenever we've discussed politics, we're at odds with each other, ever since we were teenagers.
He wouldn't let it go so I deleted him. Yes, it's a petty thing to do, but some of his diatribe pi$$es me off.
We'll still be friends, just not on FB, I hope.
I'm not happy about this.

I guess there's a good reason politics aren't allowed here on this site. That'd probably be a bit nutso!

You probably will be friends still if he's true and you've lasted this long.

The Coronavirus thread no longer exists so I'll ask here. I got my appointment for the Covid shot for Thursday. Should I get a Covid test beforehand or does it not matter? I haven't been tested since last November. I'm getting mixed advice from different folks at work so I need the advice of anyone here who may have better insight into this. I've never even gotten a Flu shot so I'm just a wee bit, um, nervous.

Look up ingredients in a flu shot, a polio shot and then look up the corona shot.

I'm getting super anxious about getting my drivers license renewed this afternoon, down at DMV, I have everything (and more) they are requesting for the new 'REAL ID' license and an ophthalmologist exemption from the eye test, and I just want it to go smoothly and without any hiccups --- i hate hate hate dealing with city officials/employees they just stress me out to the nth degree - I need a drink to calm my nerves.

The employees at the DMV's in my area are the most miserable people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to.

When I went to get my Real ID, the guy spoke so low. I had to lean in and asked him to repeat himself a few times. He was trying to burn as few calories as possible while doing the bare minimum amount of work. Seemed like he really hated his job.

My only advice to you would be to do exactly what you did. Bring all your required documents and know exactly what you are doing there and what you want. That seems to make them a little less miserable.

Miserable IS the key word and just depressing - it all went rather smoothly except for one part of the form that it sounded like it was written by someone who had no grasp of writing a complete or concise question - all in all - in and out of there in 30 minutes, although they do have to mail me my Real ID drivers license in the mail (ugh, really?) - I treated myself to a chocolate milkshake from Wawa's afterwards.

I sold a $130 package of movies to a French customer back in early January. The USPS hasn't updated it since 1/8 in Jamaica, NY and no claims/calls were helpful. I finally decided to just issue a full refund.

I am a baseball fan, and I enjoy watching it. Having said that, it is a long season and by mid July, I'm over it.
