Probably Begins for me because I prefer origin stories and I think Liam Neeson was awesome in it.

TDK is a great example of how good sequels can be though, so I'd say it was pretty close, but for me Begins is slightly better.

Just about to re-watch both these movies before TDKR releases in IMAX and will cast my vote then. I think i'll go TDK though because for the one step back it took in making Gotham not look like Gotham it took about 20 steps forward in every department.

Batman Begins.. I prefer the story of how Bruce Wayne became Batman and what inner conflicts he has that of TDK. Plus, I like the score from BB better.
But still, both great movies.

Really surprised how many votes Begins has but I'm glad it's getting some respect. Doesn't seem to come up in the best superhero movies discussion often enough imo. It's TDK though.
