No problem.

There seems to be a variety of lists floating around, so if you have the time, its best to ask for the store list. I'll be back before the months over for a few more that weren't on the list I was given...

You can't beat the 2/$40 selections with this promo. Kudos to HMV for this offer.

picked up both Futurams today and the Simpson Movie
Futurams were in the 2 for $50 and the Simpsons was a 2 for $20 purchase,
when rung up the Futurams were listed as $25 each and the Simpsons came in at $20 , this minus the $21 credit gave me 3 for 55... sweet deal
Will be heading back for Fargo, Sideways and 28 weeks later

What was the original price of the die hard collection there? My HMV has it at 69.99 and thats the advertised price online as well, minus the 7 dollars would not even be close to what you got it for. Also the X-Men trilogy was not listed as an available choice on the website. How did you get it for that price?

Die Hard collection consists of 4 BDs and some people manage to get 4*7 = $28 discount on it. 69.99-28 = $41.99

Yes, 4x7 for Die Hard and 3x7 for Xmen. The manager did it, and she said the that the sets have a number on them for how many disc discounts. Die hard has a yellow round 4 sticker and Xmen a round 3.

Wow I was under the impression it was just one 7 dollar discount, I even asked one of the people working there but I am gonna go back and ask a manager because that's an unreal deal.

I bought the second Bond set and was told it was only $7 off the set.

Clearly, it varies by store, and maybe even by staff member.

Can anyone else confirm a purchase of the die hard collection or the 007 box sets while trading in 3 or 4 dvds?

look at the thread, obviously some are. On the other hand looking at http://www3.hmv.ca/hmvca/images/spec...-bluray-09.pdf it appears that it is a mistake
Quote:
Limit of 1 DVD trade-in per Blu-ray Purchase.
Quote:
Multiple disc box-sets will be
credited as per the number of discs in the set and the
credit of $7 per disc must be used on the equivalent
number of Blu-ray purchases. (i.e. 1 3-disc DVD boxset
equals $21 credit which must be applied to the
purchase of 3 qualifying Blu-ray titles.).
so some are mixing up DVD box set= 7$ rebate/disk with that it applies to BD box sets (21$ rebate for X-men)

It does vary by store. Today I was told that they don't do the trade ins. I had to call the manager who appeared to be mad at the member of staff for not being aware of current deals and after that everything went smooth.

I've got a question... 24 Season 7 comes out on May 17th. So if the Blu-ray's $60 at HMV and the set has 6 discs, I can exchange 5 DVD's, get $35 bucks off it? Or is this promotion only offered to specific blu-ray's?

The deal is only for select blu rays and I have seen no mention anywhere about the 24 season being a part of it when it is released. Also it seems that it should be only 1 discount on boxsets of $7 but you might get lucky and get more.

It applies to a specific list of blu-rays, so I doubt the new blu release of 24 would be included. Even if it were, I think you would only be able to get $7 off by redeeming 1 DVD, they won't let you combine multiple credits for a single title, regardless of discs included.

just came back from HMV, the movies that are offered arent anything special, alot of which are over priced and the $7 brings them down to normal pricing at wal mart. was looking for the X men trilogy but they didnt have any, only the individual movies at 26.99...they are 19.99 or 21.99 everywhere else.

This deal is great to people who don't have all of those movies from 2/40 selection at HMV. For example, I got Kingdom of Heaven and The Simpsons Movie for $13 each. Great price.
