As I mentioned before, Yul is one of the main reasons to watch this. He has some of the best line deliveries of the movie. Of course, I keep seeing him as the creepy, murderous Gunslinger from Westworld... the first Terminator!
I agree. He is so good in this film and he passed away far too soon. In one of his last interviews, as he's dying from lung cancer, he told the viewers to never smoke and that he wished he never started. Different time then as pretty much everyone in Hollywood smoked.

Yupper, Yul was definitely Hollywood’s first Terminator. I saw the climatic ending of Westworld on the late LATE show when I was 6, then the broadcast went to snow (off the air) and I went to bed and had nightmares after that solo experience. You know how it is, little kids watching intriguing things on television late at night then it stays with you once you hit the pillow.

Same scene, same reaction out of me. I think I may have been about 13 or 14 on that one. Now I’m feeling like a sissy.

Not only Yul Brynner, but the entire cast was superb. The Ten Commandments is just a fantastic movie overall.

Does Brickseek not work for you time to time? Lately, I've been getting more of "No results found in the searched area." than actually working properly. It was working fine last night when I first saw your post, but it's not working again lol

I'm getting exactly the same thing. Sometimes works, usually does not work (and says "no results found in the searched area").

I did see one in a local Walmart, I failed to buy it because the slipcover was slightly scuffed. When I did get a result from Brick Seek, it showed that location as having limited stock (they had one that I could see when I was there).

no we don't and the youtube video does no justice to the image 'in motion' or even the colors in the Dolby Vision encode.

Got a email from Best Buy that this was gonna be delayed. So I canceled my order and ordered from Amazon. It was a litter more with the faster shipping, but I won’t have to wait it’s arriving today.

I agree! Also, restore the original theme music and get rid of that awful bellowing woman and the poor excuse for the recreated intro music. The new VFX also are both hit and miss as well. I like many of them but some such as on The Ultimate Computer and Doomsday Machine are just awful. I would also love to see Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea series on BD.

While watching this last night, I was thinking to myself "Man, this looks fantastic but I'm not sure its much of an upgrade over the BD." So afterwards, I popped in the BD and I was wrong. In comparison to the UHD, the BD is too bright and almost looks washed-out (again, only in comparison to the UHD). There is a definite uptick in detail, but the HDR is what did it for me. And I know Paramount had mentioned something about trying to clean up the optical effects, and that's definitely noticeable when comparing to the BD.

The BD was produced from a restoration and 4K scan of that restoration. So for a BD, it looks great. Same with something like Spartacus, 4K scan, and in and of itself a great looking BD. But yes, once you compare the BD to the 4K disc, you'll see the extra color space working together with the UHD, and the uptick in quality will be obvious.

The Ten Commandments is a good film esp. as it transports you to ancient Egypt. I like the film except for the last parts, beginning with the march out of Egypt. I may delve into the 4k version. At times, I wish if a cut was available where the film ends with the oppressed marching out of Egypt and the ten commandments being read out in the background.

I came across the 4K clip below (not among my favorite parts as I mentioned above). Is it an accurate representation?
