A little out of the loop, is there any news of updated releases of the Rebuilds? I remember being annoyed by some banding in 1.11 Funimation that I'm pretty sure wasn't in the Japan release...but my memory might be faulty, I'd have to recheck.

Funimation seemingly doesn't even have the rights to the Rebuild films anymore. No chance of new releases until GKids or someone else takes them over.

My local FYE had brand new copies of 2:22 and 3:33 on their shelves, thought about getting them for a good while but decided not to.

If you don't already have the movies BD how did you watch them in the first place?

BTW, the first rumors of Eva3.0+1.0 theatrical releases in the west (in Europe) are starting to show up on social media. Apparently it's scheduled to happen "soon".

Well, by Rebuild movie standards, "soon" could be as far out as 10 years from now, so...

All joking aside, I am absolutely down for a theatrical release. Hope to see more info in the next month or two.

Is there a specific region/ language that gets Eva faster? Like Spanish releases seem to be pretty quick over English releases. Also let's keep this going forever and make it the longest thread

Me either and I've seen the first three. I'd say that I like the first Rebuild but that's because it's nearly identical to the first 5 or 6 episodes of the series. The second one lost me. Animation is great, that's about it.

Maybe the final movie will redeem them for me but I'm not optimistic. It took me 2-3 rewatches of NGE before I came to really like and appreciate it.
