Life and The Unit are 2 I watch every week. Love both and sad to see them go. The Unit really is top notch.

What about shows on FX? I know Rescue Me is on right now but what about for the fall and next spring.

Rescue Me is solid, the ratings have always been good. Obviously FX plans on keeping this show around, since the current season couldn't start last fall because of the writers strike, that's why they gave us 22 episodes instead of 13. None of the FX shows are going anywhere There are several new shows they've ordered so it looks like they will be airing new episodes year round.

Its Always Sunny has been ok'd for I think they said 7 seasons. So 3 more.

It's sad that the Unit might be cancelled; it is among the best shows that I have ever seen.

It's difficult to understand cancellations for shows of such outstanding consistent quality.

I will miss it, and regardless, certainly be acquiring it on Blu-ray to keep it alive.

That was probably the friendliest response ever on these forums about a show possibly not returning. Surely you must be new and not yet become embittered into hating hollywood like everybody else or you're just not in america, the land of hollywood hate.

I read that Nip/Tuck has been cancelled, and the next season is the last one. Apparently, the show is gonna go out with a bang too. What else could they possibly do?

As for Life and Reaper getting cancelled, that's too bad, but, I'll miss Knight Rider too. Yeah, it was goofy, but the last two episodes were really good.

Syfy oughta buy the rights to Reaper. Looks like all the CW wants to do is show teenage angst dramas set to pop tunes.

What do you mean Sci-Fi bought Reaper? Just for repeats or what, and please provide your source. Also Nip/Tuck wasn't canceled that was just when the people involved decided to end the show, like they did with Lost and Supernatural all 3 of these shows are ending after the next fall season.

Nip/Tuck isn't getting canceled, it has a planned end-date similar to Lost. It will end in January 2011 and have 100 total episodes, which is big for syndication.

Somehow Til Death was renewed despite the fact that they never showed all of season 3 and the show's ratings were poor. I occasionally watched that show and it went through a lot of changes, with a new actress playing the daughter and getting rid of the neighbors who were initially among the biggest part of the show and replacing them with J.B. Smoove.

He said they should buy Reaper, not that they did. Maybe he edited his post to clarify this.

There was an article a couple weeks ago in Entertainment Weekly about Supernatural that said while the creator is planning on leaving after season 5 the show may go on, possibly without the 2 main stars.

In 2008, the network picked up Sons of Anarchy, about a notorious outlaw motorcycle club bent on protecting their sheltered California town from corporate developers and drug dealers. It is from The Shield executive producer, Kurt Sutter, and premiered in September, coinciding with The Shield's final season Sons of Anarchy. Sons of Anarchy stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman.

On May 19, 2008, FX president John Landgraff signed a contract to be head of the network for at least three more years. He intends to expand the lineup to include more comedies in addition to their award-winning dramas as well as the launch of a new website. He also announced that FX would start airing Two and a Half Men starting next year and that they have enough episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia to start syndicating it.

In July 2008, several announcements were made regarding FX's series. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia has been picked up for an additional 39 episodes, giving it 3 more seasons. Nip/Tuck will end after its sixth season. The 8 episodes will act as the remainder of season five and will air in 2009 while 19 more episodes will be split in half for season six. It will possibly go into syndication after ending with a total of 100 episodes. Also announced was a new comedy called Testees about two friends who act as test subjects.

The Riches experienced a major hit in ratings last year. The second season wrapped up on April 29, 2008 and while fans expected an answer on season three quickly, FX couldn't make a decision. Landgraff said "We're really struggling with the decision. On the one hand, I love the show. I'm tremendously proud of it. It's a very challenging tone to take on. We felt it wobbled in the beginning, but I think we really stuck the landing finally and it developed into something terrific..It's always a little bit of a question, do you hold onto the past or strive for the future." FX tried to shop The Riches to DirecTV. Unfortunately, it seemed that DirecTV did not pick it up because it costs too much to produce and even with a budget cut, it wouldn't work out because of low ratings.[8] According to Todd Stashwick, the show was cancelled on September 25, 2008, almost five months after season two ended and without an appropriate conclusion. On October 7, 2008, FX officially confirmed the show's demise.[9] However, Eddie Izzard announced recently that a movie was in the works to give a conclusion to the show.[10]

In late August 2008, FX launched a new website. They mention that full episodes of FX shows will soon be made available for viewing on the website. As of February 2009, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 30 Days, Sons of Anarchy, Testees, Damages, and Nip/Tuck are available for viewing through the official FX site.

Sons of Anarchy was renewed for a second season on October 6, 2008. Production has begun on season 2 with the new season airing September 2009.

Michael Chiklis, star of The Shield, is currently working with FX for his own series. The project, called House of Cards, will focus on a group of people running a Ponzi scheme. FX is currently looking for a writer for the series and expects to have one in the new future. Chiklis will serve as executive producer and will not appear on camera.[12]

In February 2009, FX greenlighted two new dramas. These were the first shows to be picked up since Sons of Anarchy in October 2008. The first show, "Lights", is about an aging former heavyweight boxing champion struggling to find his identity and support his wife and three daughters after his fighting days have ended, and reluctantly accepts a job as an enforcer collecting debts. He is diagnosed with pugilistic dementia, a neurological disorder that affects boxers who receive multiple blows to the head, which gradually will lead to a loss of all memories.

The second show is a currently untitled project by Graham Yost. The Yost project is based on Leonard's short story "Fire in the Hole." It centers on U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens -- a tough, soft-spoken lawman with a rough side -- and chronicles his cases and personal life, including unfinished business with an ex-wife and his aging father. Starring Timothy Olyphant.

FX also gave Rescue Me a sixth season order of 18 episodes, even though the fifth season has yet to premiere. Season 5 begins airing on April 7 at 10 PM.

At the New York Comic Convention in Feb, it was confirmed by well known comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis that his book, Powers, is in pilot development on FX.
